"Ah, then you and the dragon don't know how charming I am...or can be." He flashed a short smile, and then frowned. Sometimes his sister could get soooo annoying when she was right. Of course she was right.
Ashes manages to escape his room by jumping out the window. And finds himself limping because he forgot that he was two stories up and twisted his ankle.

Ashes manages to get about two houses away before he crashes into someone and falls down. "Sorry!" He says, knowing that at any moment he would be ordered to get back inside. (Can he have crashed into Luna?)
Nick sighed, and slowly tramped back, kicking stones and muttering things under his breath.

Ashes got up, and then leaned on a house wall to steady himself. "I believe so. Mighta sprained my ankle. Curse my brother for locking up my room so I have to jump out the window... Have you seen the dragons? They are amazing!" Ashes loved dragons.

Ashes gave a small smile. "If I let my own brother get barbecued, on the other hand, well, I might as well say good bye to my place in line for Chief. Or, I might just be saying hello forever to being chieftain. Neither seems very appealing." He shuddered.
Ruling wasn't a great option, he had seen what it had done to his brother and dad. Running away was something of certain death. And if the punishment was Death, well...then that was certain death.
