Victor returned with the medication and gently woke Maria up. " Maria sweetheart.. you have to take the rest of this to help with your fever. " Maria complained a bit, not wanting to take it.. it tasted bad to her.

"Yeah..." He was thinking about how his gang had just left him like they had. Maybe if he hadn't went to investigate that one day they would have left him to the zombies or something like that.
