Once again his attention was diverted from the group in front of him as another student approached. "Hello there." He said with a happy smile. The silver tree upon his face glittered in the noon light. "I'm assuming you are a student here as well? I'm Dexion." He said offering her a hand to shake. "I'm kind of new here." Nervously he moved a strand of silvery hair from his face.

"Logan!" Brooke called over as she walked over to him and General. She walked over to the horse, whispering calming words to him. She may have been a spoiled brat last year, but she knew her way with horses for sure.

"While Brooke talks to your horse..." Jackson said with a laugh. "What are the rooming assignments? Someone was curious earlier, but he ran off before I could say much."

"I'm praying I'm not stuck with my brother." Maxwell teased."

She shook his hand. " I'm River Cunningham. I'm new too. " she said with a small laugh. The breeze got a bit harder, so she tightened her black ponytail. " Nice to meet you Dexion. " She didn't say anything about his seemingly familiar tattoo.

Logan laughed. "The newbies will be in the dorms closest to the barn. The councilors each have their own dorms this year, actually. And for returning people like Brooke are in the dorms closer to the cafeteria."

Skyler piped up and asked, "So does this mean I have to sleep next to the horses?" She asked in disgust. So far the city was better than this.

"It's the first year experience." Brooke had a small smile playing on her lips as she patted General's neck. This girl, whoever she was, definitely was acting the same way she had her first year.

"Besides, it's better bonding for your first year with your horse." She glanced back at her horse's trailer. "Oh, looks like they're taking Royale to the stables. Great, I have to get her settled, anyone wanna come with?"

"Alright, thanks Logan." Max raised an eyebrow at the complaining girl, and Jackson seemed curious too.

"This is your sister? Skyler, right?"

He gave her a warm smile. "It's nice to see I'm not the only newbie. I just knew I was going to be the only one here that had never been here before. To be honest this is the first time I've ever been around horses...I'm a bit nervous that alone will single me out. Do you have a horse?"

"Yes. My name is Skyler. But some people," she said, pausing to glare at Logan, "Don't understand that. And I would like to stay as far away from those animals as possible." General snorted at her and she screamed and jumped back. "Ewww there's horse snot on me!" She just about gagged. "I need to go change."

She shook her head. " No, but knowing my parents, they probably bought out 15 of them. I'm also really nervous, but it's best not to show it. At least, that's what my mother says. "

"No offense Brooke, but she's like you two-point-oh." Jackson said with a laugh, and Brooke swatted his arm with a roll of her eyes.

"Hey, at least I was good with horses." She replied, before dramatically stage whispering to the group. "Even though mud and everything else was pretty much a problem, I was like a horse whisperer! I'm not as spoiled."

Max snorted. "The spoiled part is still up for consideration, we'll see. Now, we should leave the horses in the stables for dinner or whatever, right?"
