I decided to make an origami box since my original idea was not referencing MZ so it had to be scrapped >.> -cough- Spent a lot of time on youtube and a few failed attempts, but pretty happy with this :D

The box itself is a reference, except...this one you actually get to open! :D



Remembered last second i had some lovely scrapbook paper that would be perfect for this.

Cut out some strips for feathers, the box now says "Get Lost"
(In unrelated news, please do not "get" /me/...)


Feathers are painted with nail polish because i have too much nail polish so why not. (may also have inhaled way too much at this point sooo yeah.) I used a technique i use sometimes when doing nail art for gradients, where i painted onto a makeup sponge and dabbed it on the edges of the feathers. Then i feathered the feathers (lel) by bending them around my nail upwards.
(Excuse te oddly matching scissors. Due to the amount of folds, the box doesnt really stay closed so those are holding it down for the pic lol)


Insert for when you open the box. Done with the same polish as the feathers. I wanted a polished, shimmery effect to mimic the orb on the new species, so it also has a glittery top coat.



This is the insert uh...inserted...into the box. You can also see the shimmery-ness a bit better in this one though.


I put the shimmery stuff around the edges of the box as well.

Well, gifts of chocolates are traditional, so why not chocolates inspired by Sylesti eggs?


Hollow chocolate shells, made by dipping frozen grapes in Candiquick. They're as egg-shaped a thing as I could get. ^^;


My setup for chocolate egg-filling


Each egg is filled with cheesecake mix and a different other flavor. These four are honey, cinnamon, almonds, and peanut butter.


They're cheesecake-other-flavor sandwiches smothered in chocolate. What could go wrong??


A second set of eggs flavored with caramel, strawberry syrup, dark chocolate shavings, cherries, orange peel, and lemon peel.


My mess of a setup for adding tiny bits of ingredients to each shell.


After adding all the ingredients and topping them with more cheesecake, I dipped the back in candiquik to seal them up.


The strawberry one leaked a little bit.


Yay decorating! Each egg gets its own filo dough "nest" cup.


I'd like to think the egg on the right is what the broken heart puffadore looks like.


This one is about what I thought the new-species egg would look like. Coated in pearls and striped. This was pre-pearl-edit but maybe they don't get their.. pretty marble-ness until the pet hatches.


All decorated, all nested.

Then I cut out an egg and started to decorate it.

Attached a fluffy tail.

Next I added feathers and a message "I love you Furever"
