Alright everyone, this is just a quick group ping to let everyone know what the voting round delay is. This month is my son's birthday and we have family kind of scattered all over Northern California, so we did a mini birthday party with one group this weekend which is why I was super busy. These types of delays are probably going be somewhat common throughout the contest. It can just be incredibly challenging to maintain a proper schedule between house chores, toddler nonsense, the animals, and my new small business (see my profile for a link if you're interested).

This is another reason that I'm glad I decided NOT to do eliminations for this round, because the other thing I wanted to talk about are the deadlines. While I try and stick to the deadlines as much as possible, as stated above life gets in the way, and I know that the same goes for all of you. If you ever need an extension don't be afraid to ask for one (within reason obviously), but the other thing is that if I have not posted the voting round yet I will probably not have any problem accepting any late entries, so don't think just because the deadline has passed that you're screwed. I'm very flexible with these things because you guys are always super patient with me when I'm late. :)

That all being said, I'm aiming for posting voting sometime tonight so everyone keep your eyes out. And remember to encourage all of your friends on the site to vote, but of course don't tell them which entry is yours. Thanks everyone!

ah okay I was wondering what the hold up was. Take all the time you need Britts and happy birthday to your son! I understand life can get in the way and thanks for letting us know to not be afraid to ask ^^ I'll keep an eye out and keep up the amazing work. this must be so hard to organize!

Okay guys, sorry for all the pings, but just need to make another announcement. This is the situation...I am struggling majorly with trying to get this voting round posted. I have so much on my plate IRL that when I have enough downtime to be able to devote the 30+ minutes this is going to take I start to stress out a little. I am NOT cancelling the contest, but I am officially letting you guys know that I'm going to stop giving estimates about when this is going to be posted. At this point it will be posted when I get to it.

Now, I'm hoping after I get the first voting thread posted future threads will not seem so daunting. That being said, if anyone wishes to drop out of the contest I completely understand and there are no hard feelings. Furthermore, if anyone who has not yet submitted an entry for Round One you are free to take this time to do so, and those of you who HAVE sent entries in already may make any changes you would like to your entries if you choose to. As always, I appreciate everyone's continued patience and understanding and I promise that I will be doing everything I can to get this voting round posted ASAP. Thanks guys!
