Assuming Kiothar will have very little to say, he decides to stay and watch. It's difficult to tell who is winning, which is a surprise due to the obvious difference in size between the lion and dwarf. The elf is unable to leave knowing the dwarf may be innocent and may be killed. Perhaps this dwarf just had some bad luck on the road, at least that appears to be the case. Silently, Maldok removes an arrow from his quiver and draws his bow. Being careful to aim for the lion, he lifts his bow and

A. attacks the lion.

Axilya stands dangerously still, pondering her next decision. If she was back in her country, she wouldn't take the chances...but she had limited supplies and dying from blood loss was not how she was going to go. So instead she

Gurukk turned to you, sword raised, and looked almost bloodthirsty for a moment, but snapped out of it quickly, dropping his no-longer-burning sword on the ground. He stared at the dead elves, wide-eyed. "I didn't mean to do that," he muttered. "We have to go."

And with that, he grabbed his sword and turned, walking away without checking whether you were following. What do you wish to do?

"We should have let them fight it out on their own," Kiothar pitched in quietly as you shot the arrow into the puma's skull. She neglected to say any more, though.

Your arrow killed the cougar instantly. The dwarf glanced around furiously in fear, his gaze landing on you. "Do not hurt me!" he shouted. "Please! I have a family!" he scrambled into a stand, holding his hands up in surrender. You noticed he was leaning to one side, and there was a nasty-looking bite in his right leg.

What do you wish to do?

b) Say something
c) Continue down a different path

You hear a whoosh above you, and a hooded, winged figure lands right before you. "I do not plan on harming you, if that is what you stress." The voice was the same as the cackling one. It had an airy, ethereal quality to it. What do you wish to do?

a) Say something
b) Attack
c) Scream
d) Run around in circles
e) Try to leave again

You examine the dot closer, but the pain has gone away. There's no blood, just a simple, tiny green dot that hadn't been there before. What do you wish to do?

a) Stab the dot
b) Try to remove the chunk of skin it's on with your arrowhead
c) Ignore it and continue
d) Leave

a) Follow him

I stand up, take my bow, and follow Gurukk without hesitation, while quietly muttering a prayer in my native Elvish tongue to ask the Gods to welcome the spirit of these Elves who died while following orders and accomplishing their duty with benevolence in the Afterlife, and to protect Pretek's child who will be born fatherless.

As you walked, you noticed Gurukk seemed tense. As the two of you exit the forest, Gurukk speaks up, still not facing you. "It's in the blood of an orc to fight," he began quietly. "Natural-born warriors. I had decided from a very young age that I didn't want to be a warrior. I didn't want to fight, or kill. I wanted to help, to negotiate. My mother abandoned me much earlier than orcish mothers are supposed to leave their children because she saw my lack of a warrior spirit. But... I am still an orc," he murmured.

What do you wish to do?

a) Speak
b) Remain quiet
c) Ignore him
d) Attack him

Maldok ignored Kiothar's comment and watched his arrow fly. It landed exactly where he intended. "Do you doubt my skills with a bow, good lady? Or do you fear the dwarf?" He quipped.

Maldok stood, dusted himself off and plucked a few leaves from his pony tail. He started to walk towards the dwarf to

D. help him.

"No need to fear. I'm not here to hunt dwarf," the elf's lilac eyes rested on the dwarf's leg. "My lady elf, I don't suppose you have an affinity to healing magic?"
