Shrewd, green-flecked gold eyes observed the small town surroundings. Aoife could hear the distant clang of a smithy's hammer, and the soft neighing of horses in the stables. It was foggy, and misting slightly, so she pulled the brim of her hat a little lower over her eyes.

When she noticed the person running towards her, her hand tightened slightly the crossbow attached to her side, specially crafted for her small stature. The bolts were slender but effective. When she realized it was just a child, her grip loosened but she didn't let go. Life had made her cautious. Her frown deepened when he spoke of disease. She opened her mouth to...

a.) Speak to him

"Is there nothing to be done for her?" she asked, a small touch of compassion brewing as a result of the boy's plight.

The little boy shook his head almost violently. You noticed that he was shaking head-to-toe. "N-no, ma'am! The Captain's Wiles can't be cured. It's very contagious, but I don't have it. You don't wanna come near the people here," he insisted.

With narrowed eyes, Axilya surveyed the landscape with disgust. They really let their land turn into a dump. Chuckling, she examined further when she noticed a figure in the distance. Unfazed, she went about rummaging through her quiver, attempting to find the Crowns she had stored away. The figure came closer to her and appeared to be a young boy. Weak, at best. She continued to ignore him until he started shouting nonsense about his poor mother. Get a grip. Amused, and slightly bothered, she raised her eyebrow towards him and refrained from out right laughing at his weakness. Idiotic. She would never allow a humanoid to live in her kingdom, especially one as weak as this. She chuckled once the boy finished. Might as well save myself the trouble. She removed an arrow from the quiver swiftly and

b. killed him

One less weakling to deal with throughout my stay.

(...Savage...)

The boy screeched as the arrow pierced his skin. He fell back with his mouth open in shock. You could hear a faint cry in the distance. Well. He died. What do you with to do?

a) Continue through Ihndiste
b) Leave Ihndiste

Aoife's eyes narrowed as she took in the boy's appearance. Something seemed odd to her, though she knew not what. Her race was not normally touched by magic, so she possessed no extra sensory perceptions that might have given her more knowledge. In the end she decided to ask him a simple question.

"Why are you still here, then?" she asked, perhaps a little harshly, "If you are not sick, why not leave?"

The boy glanced back into the village, his eyes landing on a small hut-like home. "I can't... My ma's sick. I can't leave her. And I don't know why I'm not sick yet, either. I cuddle with her, and I don't get sick. I can't leave her to die, ma'am..." he murmured in a distressed voice.

Looking on towards the town and remembering something the boy had said,
she

c. goes in the opposite direction.

She was a queen. She was way above getting a flu, let alone becoming as weak as that stupid boy. He is better off this way anyways. She had no regrets.
