Kiothar gave you a smirk. "Not that I doubt your archery skills, but that it would have been much more entertaining to watch the fight," she explained. She followed you over to the dwarf, crouching down to examine the leg closer. The dwarf flinched, but remained still. "I wouldn't call it an affinity, but I know some basic restoration magic. I could at least heal him enough to keep him alive until he can get back to his clan," she answered.

Maldok glared at her in surprise from her sadistic answer. Although should he really be surprised? After all, he still didn't know much about her and she didn't know much about him. He crouched beside her, also examining the wounded leg, "Do what you can, I suppose. Is this acceptable, dwarf?"

With a nod, Kiothar waved her hands over the dwarf's leg as he stared on in shock. The wound slowed its bleeding. "I don't know why you've helped me, kind elves, but I thank you," the dwarf breathed out. "My name is Munt. If you ever happen across someone of the Amathan clan, you can drop my name and they will help you," he told you, and then pulled a dozen Crowns out of his pocket and dropped them in your hand. "Please, take these."

Maldok didn't decline the offer of Crowns and held them tightly before releasing them into his coin purse. He smirked at Kiothar as if to say, "See, my lady, sometimes it pays to be kind." In reality he didn't know how the dwarf would react, but he wasn't here to flee from dwarves. He was fleeing from his own kind. Fighting an already weakened dwarf couldn't have been worse than facing his tribe. He nodded to the dwarf, "Our thanks."

"No, no, I am the one to thank you," Munt said with a grin, and then scurried off in the other direction.

Kiothar gave you an unimpressed look. "And sometimes, it pays to stay out of things. As in, getting involved may cause you to die sometimes, or be exiled," she pointed out. "Though, who am I to talk? I am a hypocrite in that department. Can't resist a good risk," she chuckled. "So, what are we doing now, chief?"

What do you wish to do?

a) Continue speaking
b) Continue down the mountain path
c) Choose a different path
d) Leave the mountains
e) Other

"Well I suppose I enjoy a bit of risk-taking too, then." Maldok couldn't help but stomp off after being scolded by a sadistic broad. He mumbled and

B. continued down the mountain path.

"Do you have an ounce of kindness in you, or is everything you do to your benefit? Why did you help me, hmm? Did you need to get out of that hole you called a home, but needed a bodyguard?" His outburst surprised himself and he immediately regretted his words but failed to show that on his face.

You continued with Kiothar beside you, and she glared at you as you snapped at her. "Perhaps I ran out of kindness. Perhaps I tried to be kind to someone and I lost literally everything over it. I helped you because I figured you might be able to help me. Kindness gets you nowhere, because you constantly give, and all others do is take," she snarled. She stopped walking and stared at you with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face.

OOC: / Updated his backstory. Yay. xD /

The footsteps stopped, so he turned around to face her. Her black hair covered part of her angry purple eyes and they glared back at him. He sighed, "Kiothar, what has blackened your heart?" At this point he just wanted to continue into the mountains. However, he needed her help whether he wanted to accept it or not. After healing the dwarf he had realized that she is more help than he cared to admit.

Kiothar narrowed her eyes dangerously. "I tried to help someone. Long story short, she tricked me. Stabbed me in the back. I got exiled from my tribe. Lost my home, my husband, my daughter. Nothing can be done about it. You can order me to leave if you like, but I think we should rather not risk our lives on top of everything else out of simple kindness," she responded.

With a deep breath, Axilya ignores her fears and decides to

d) leave

She didn't know what the desert had in store for her, but whatever it was, it was not worth a Queen's life.
