~Dobhar~Firepack~Alpha's Den~

Dobhar looked up to see Mist's eager, yet nervous face.
"No, that is all. I would suggest you take the time to groom yourself before our water pack guests arrive."
Mist was obviously more concerned with others than herself. Her fur was beginning to form mats and her legs were covered with grime from running around doing various tasks. In truth there were still several things that needed doing but, that was best left to another dog. If given the chance he was sure mist would run herself into the ground helping everyone.

"y-yessir." mist said padding off to her den. as omega she had her own den, but it wasnt a good one. it was more of a shallow hole with a covering of leaves and moss. she didnt mind it tho, at least the view of the night sky was nice. even if it got cold sometimes. mist sighed contentedly and settled into the leaves and began grooming herself.

~Dobhar~Firepack~Alpha's Den~

Dobhar smiled to himself as he watched mist pad away to her den. She was a hard worker that one, perhaps some day he would promote her to beta. After all they didn't have numbers on their side and promoting a low ranking dog tended to lift the spirits of the whole pack. His mind couldn't help but wander to the subject of finding a mate. Perhaps... no, it was too soon to make that call. She hadn't been in the pack all that long and was still quite nervous around her superiors. Give her a few mor months though...

Dobhar's ears pricked up at the sound of a small pack moving through the underbrush some distance away, as if unaccustomed to maneuvering through the forest. He stood and shook the remaining dust from his coat and made his way towards the centre of the camp. Placing himself within full view of the entire camp as well as the tree line from which the waterpack visitors were approaching. He tilted his head back and let out a soft melodic howl, not one meant to intimidate or claim territory but rather one of welcome for his guests and to alert any of his pack that were still out of the camp to return and not to attack their visitors.

From all around him in the camp dogs joined him in welcoming the water pack and, from further out in the woods the remaining fire pack dogs called out their response as they began to make their way back to camp.

mist joined in with the howl her melodic voice joining in harmony with the rest of the pack. she had just finished with grooming and her fur now shined in the light in a way it hadn't for a long time. mist got up ready to help anyone with anything.

~Agni~Firepack~Forest~

Agni and her small band of hunters padded back to camp with light hearts. As soon as she heard the howling of the others she threw her head back and howled in response. What a glorious day! Just wait untill Dobhar saw what they had caught!

~Agni~Firepack~Outside firepack camp~

Agni continued to howl her response as they approached camp. Her companions were too preoccupied with dragging their prize through the underbrush to join in but they seemed happy enough for it.

~Dobhar~Firepack~Firepack Camp~

As she drew closer Dobhar was able to distinguish Agni's howl from the rest of the pack. She was obviously in good spirits. He turned to see her leading her small hunting party into camp, as they did so several dogs stopped howling to gawk at what they were dragging into camp. A deer, a full grown buck to be precise and a big one at that. Agni walked we to him with a huge smile on her face. The howling of the pack seemed to double in intensity with their jubilation for the substantial prize the hunters had managed to bring them.

mist gawked at the kill. she hadn't seen so much food in ages. she rushed over to assist the hunters in carrying it. to bad it had to be on the day waterpack was coming over. she might have been able to actually eat something other then a scrappy mole for once. but it was better for the packs image.
