We decided 'heck it' because sometimes artistic urges to do things are hard to control.

Two of each that are mostly based on these "lunemara" (where we sort of poke at the designs, see how things might work)(the ones on the right for the female page, left two for the male page), one that's sort of between these and our own Magic Alchemy Moth design, and one where we mostly just took the farthest-out points of these and drew a Magic Alchemy Moth lunemara.
(+ all the Big Wing)

Looking through these comments I feel like a lot of people don't really know how probosces work though?
Proboscis = mouth, not tongue; it's basically the two sides of the mandible hyper-extended and 'zipped together' by a long evolutionary period of adapting to a specific diet.
They don't pull their proboscis into their mouth, because that's an impossibility (however, it can look sort of like this is what is happening because in many species it is hidden by the ******l palps when coiled)
(Although I wonder if lunes have proboscises or if they break bug rules and have tongues like hummingbirds or something...)

Also, on the matter of hands/feet, we think hands could potentially work. We usually go for two-claw feeties when drawing lunes. Current lunes have single claw. We could see it work with three claws.
Looking at some bug feeties (warning: bugs with feeties) show that two toes with a padded 'palm' as a sort of 'middle toe' is also something some have.

Scath, those drawings are AMAZING!!!! They look really great and I think the pictures show a happy medium between what was wanted by many users as well as the old art for the Lunemaras. :) I really like the drawings very much!

On a side note could I PM you and see if you could help me figure out a couple art things that I'm having trouble translating from my mind to paper?

Those look really awesome Scath! I especially love the furry arms/legs and the faces. You managed to capture the kind of look I'd like to see on lunes.

Really don't think lunes look good with the bottom wings in front of the top. Other than that issue the lunes Scath drew are really cute.

Most of the moths i'm seeing have the top wings in front of the bottom. It just really looks weird the other way around.

Hey, just wanted to say, to whoever the artist of the lines are...

I really hope you don't feel bad/upset or anything.

I know you've been busy with this and now you probably have to re-scrap everything and start from 'scratch'

As someone who does art myself, i know that can be a tasky pain-in-the-rear-end to 'restart'...etc.

Just saying, really sorry that this didn't exactly work out, but don't be discouraged please.

(just worried because from past revamps we only asked for small changes...this time? Big...ol' 'scrap this and back to drawing board kinda thing'...)

But yeah, sorry about that!

Just know we're not upset at the artist or anything...the lines are good, i like them but, just probably not fitting to some of the user's here i guess...and I do understand where everyone was coming from...

but yeah, just wanted to say this, i know you worked hard on it, even if its just the lines... (every step is important)

**gives the artist and anyone else who wants one, a big cuddly hug**

So here's my suggestion for the new revamp just like people suggested I think you should make the arms thinner, maybe add more shape/depth to the wings and lower body, make the noses a lot less curly, maybe ad hair/fuzz to the male too, and maybe make it more fuzzy in general.

thank you I really enjoy playing sylestia :D

I second what night said. The art was very good in its own right, it just didn't fit its intended purpose. Many users have suggested finding elsewhere to use it on the site which seems like a nice idea. You did well. The result was cool, but too different from the bugs we love to replace them with is all.

I agree an anthropomorphic insect shop keeper would be awesome and These lines fit that well! Just not what was expected for a pet I guess ;) good job and keep up the good work we love what all of you do to keep this site up and running, and we only want to see it grow! Love you guys!
