The cry from the creature's throat rang out to the moon, the great moon that looked out upon the world. It cried out to the stars, the shining stars that stole the eyes of the soul. It cried out to the mountains, the quiet mountains that silenced the mind when one's gaze met their peaks. It cried out to the sea, the flashing sea that was so vast that even the birds were not free enough to cross it. It cried out to the trees, the enchanting trees that held the secrets of all. It called out to the world and the world called back to it, the ringing echo bringing all to their knees as it slipped into their ears. The creature closed its small beak that made you think of the trees that held secrets and spread the wings that reminded you of the flashing sea that was so vast and took off, casting a shadow that made you feel the awe you experience when you gaze upon the quiet mountains. And with eyes that stole your heart and soul away like the stars, it looked out upon the world like the great moon of the sky.

The sylesti heard the crunch of sticks behind it and darted into a hole in the base of a tree. It blended in so well there, it was practically invisible. The crunches grew louder as whatever was breaking those sticks came closer. The sylesti squinted to try and hide it's bright green eyes, but so it could still see what was going on. The crunching came closer, so it could now see whatever it was from it's hiding spot. Humans? This far in the forest? What were they doing? They stopped nearby and the sylesti held it's breath while they talked. One pointed at a large tree and the other nodded. He then took a large silver thing and swing it into the tree with a crack. The sylesti gasped wide eyed, forgetting for a moment to keep it's cover. The humans didn't seem to notice and the one with the silver thing took another swing. The sylesti started feeling sick and it's vision was blurring. It heard one last crack and then passed out against the tree.

the evil cat-like demon was sitting on a pile of bones, laughing at all the scared creatures below he jumped down, with the loud sound of a bone snapping under the heavy paw the creatures scattered. This demon has won again and driven everyone out

She drifted in the shadows of others. Her ghostly black figure mimicked others as they danced in the fire light. The orange light reflecting in her eyes during the joyous harvesting festival. Who knew they would all have terrifying nightmares tonight? She did.

As the Stars glittered in the night, so did their wings. As the wind roared, so did they. Everyone fled to the sanctuary of their homes and they heard the warnings that it has come again to feast. There was a child, however, who wasn't afraid of the beast. The Black creature with shining white eyes and navy blue markings along it's side stared into the little child's eyes with a look of thoughtfulness.

(I'm going to jump in again because I'm still unsure of how my thread did so freaking well!)
The girl raised her arms, wisps of light and darkness swirling around her. She brought her hands together as thunder boomed and lightning crackled. A beautiful creature stepped out from the fog, shaped by the wisps of energy, and beautifully portraying the balance in the universe.
