Golden light streaming through what little cracks form between leaves and branches in the canopy, licking and kissing at the ground as younglings reach towards the light, yearning, wanting, needing the light that their parents block away from them. The sun kissed rays, shimmering beautifully, had stopped for just a moment's wait, however. The flap of wings in the air high above, shrouded by the green canopy above, there loomed and waited a creature, equally as majestic as the sun itself, that could even rival a God's or Goddess' beauty. Hovering just for a moment longer, it then soon flew away ever so elegantly, as if flying was as such a simple thing as breathing.

Snowfall on a riverbed

The rain brought the painful memory back to him. Tears began to flow down his face, mixing with the rain soaking him. The heartbreak was too fresh, too new. He couldn't understand why his love had said such things, why he had said he did not love him anymore. "Why?" He sobbed.
"Because I felt cornered. My family was threatening to disown me," said a voice.
The first male turned, eyes wide. His lover embraced him and the sorrow he felt vanished. "You chose me...." He whispered, clearly in awe.

There they were, the pack of many, stirring in the woods. The undergrowth shifted beneath her paws as her pelt blended in with the trees. Her eyes were the only thing visible. She shuffled her paws, uneasy. They would be attacking any minute now. She took a deep breath and glanced back at her pack, giving a slight nod. Off they went to battle.

She eyed her brothers, pawing the sand. Their oldest brother, floating above them, jumped up out of the water and smacked his tail against the water, and they took off, shooting through the coral, diving down to kick the obstacles. She raced in first and looked back at her brothers, then leaped up over the water, whinnying in delight
