Here are my progress pictures for proof it's me. Sorry for the terrible Christmas tablecloth, bad lighting and sideways-ness. These are just for proof ahhah...

I hope it's ok I did some colour correction for this image. The lighting in this room is very yellow and this is what it would look like under white light. Obviously I'm not a painter, but I needed some form of stress relief.. so here's my painted ny'vene egg, Easter style. xD (yes that says "hoppy easter" cause I'm lame)

If the touch-up isn't ok here's the original image unedited: http://i.imgur.com/oPK7K9k.jpg

Here's mine. I decorated a hollowed egg. I used a Bulbori to represent Easter.

I started by hollowing two eggs, so that I had a spare.

Alright so Im not particularly good at art-ing xD But I'm making a basket with Sylesti eggs in it. Still a work in progress.

Heres a Neph egg. Im pretty proud of it tbh.

Made a few more eggs

Edit:
Here's the final piece (forgot to put the date on but it was today March 27th) Not a great picture either. Had to put it against black so you can see everything!

Well, not as good as my Valentine cake... but I had fun doing this!

Who's the Easter Bulbori???

My girls would only let me have the broken ones to play with! LOL!

Ok so this is 100% scratch (well, 99.9%, there are a few toothpicks in the Bulbori) I did the whole thing myself, no help from anyone... (Though the cat tried at one point)

Step 1: Take everything out to make the cake (but I forgot the vanilla until after I took the picture)

Step 2: Let the cakes cool a bit

Step 3: While the cakes cool, make the frosting. (Darnit, forgot to take the vanilla out for the picture again!)

Step 4: Shape the cake. Mmmmmm left overs

Step 5: Make the fondant (Figured another ingredient pic was a lil much, but I did also forget the vanilla for that photo too, at least I'm consistent!) (PS, don't worry, I remembered the vanilla in every part of the cake, just not the pictures!)

Step 6: A work in progress

Step 7: Summor Progress

Step 8: All done! I think that poor bulbori might need a bigger basket and some help!

The egg is based off of eggling auction egg 17

I hope you like it! It was a lot of work but a lot of fun too! Happy Easter!

So a little late but better than never XD I decided to just dye some eggs and then use acrylic paint to make one look like a bulbori :D

The eggs pre-color :

The colored egg I picked:

I decorated a hard boiled egg to make an Easter Egg. :D I didn't take any pictures of it blank because I figured you'd already be tired of looking at blank white eggs or really a white egg mostly looks like any other white egg... xD

The first step (or 4) was dying the egg using food coloring. ^_^

The dying step took 4 dunks to complete. Hopefully you can see the color variations, though the pale colors are kind of hard to distinguish in these webcam images (the only way I can get these pictures)...

The next step was to paint in the field of little yellow flowers because it was going to have to be dry for the next step.

This part only affected the front, so there's only the 1 picture.

The final product. XD I was going to take another picture after I got the hatchling colors down, but then I wanted to get some other things painted so they could start drying for the next step. Then it was drying faster than I thought and I kept doing more and more and then it was done. XD

(Okay Photobucket just crashed my browser so I'm going to post this now and then add the rest of the pictures...)
(5 crashes later... -not including the first one)

In case you can't tell just from the images, this egg has an Aurleon hatchling in a field of yellow flowers holding an easter egg and it's mother Aurleon kind of wrapped around it. ^_^
