I am assuming it's only the original owner. I don't remember EVER releasing a tagged pet, but have a bunch in my list that I am able to reclaim. I could be wrong. I don't know why I would ever release a tagged theme though -.- and some of them are species I like, so it seems like someone else must have done it

You can only reclaim a pet if you were the one to release it.

Pet profiles of released pets are a bit misleading because it still displays the original owner while the "owner" is changed to the released message. I'll see about trying to make it more obvious.

I agree. 100k, is decent. Gems are pretty pricey at least virtually. Believe me, I would love to throw my money at my computer, but reality strikes a lot.

A gold option would be a nice idea.

Due to the increased demand in requests for the return of released pets, we have decided to push ahead and create an automatic Reclaim feature. As such, you can now reclaim pets that you released via their profile pages. Just simply click the "Reclaim Pet" button to reclaim.

-It will cost 50 to reclaim a pet.
-If the pet is an Eggling or a Hatchling, it will return to your Hatchery. If the pet is older, you must have space available in your Stables.
-You can release/reclaim a pet as many times as you wish.
-We will no longer be manually returning any released pets. You must use this feature.

And remember, you can find your released pets by using the Advanced Search. Search for pets that you own and mark the "Released" box as "Yes".

Once question, where do we find this option? You never really mentioned where.

OMG!! What a wonderful option.. Even though i have personally never released a pet in my life, lol.

A gold option might be a good idea, i don't know tho.

Could you do a gold option instead? There's no way I could afford diamonds.

To be fair, when people buy diamonds and put them on the exchange, it can go to any feature, not exactly this one in particular. xD

1. Buying diamonds in 50 cent increments from the diamond shop isn't an option.
2. I'm not likely to buy 400-500 diamonds (the minimum diamonds to buy from the shop) for the sole sake of releasing 10 pets. I'd find it convenient, but still aha. (Doesn't stop me from selling the diamonds in units of 50!)
3. Unless people communicate with a diamond seller (which is totally possible), not every diamond lot is listed for a quantity of 50 diamonds or less. People can buy the bigger increments of course.

The point I'm getting at is that making it 50 diamonds per option doesn't really "bring in money for the site", it:
-gives another use for diamonds
-gives players incentive to make gold for diamonds

-brings in more player activity to make said gold for diamonds on the exchange
-which benefits diamond sellers, whether diamond purchases increase after this implementation or not

Just wanted to be devil's advocate there aha.

Anyways, I'm happy that we now have an automated service, despite it taking diamonds to do so. I see it as a small step towards other automated services, such as username changes (which I DO think should cost diamonds/some price lol).
And maybe this will spur people to sell more of their diamonds in 50 increments. ^^ Smaller, more accessible increments for other players who like smaller exchanges aha.

edit: oop its okay Fforfox aha. The point you raised made total sense! ouo
