So I just realized that my recently generated Ryori, generated with an enhanced essence, lost her carried traits. This is a HUGE setback and basically wastes the 5 dollars between the enhanced and regular essences... :(

Is it just a visual glitch or are the carried traits actually gone?

No traits were lost. They just aren't displaying because the game thinks it's an Exclusive pet atm and it needs to be tested to show Carried traits.

I'm not sure if this is just extreme chance or not, but I think there may be something messed up with the chance encounters in at least the Trollblight Caverns.
Often, when I need money, I take a pair of high leve pets with me there and just retreat from all the battles and open/pick all the chests/mushrooms I find. Usually, at least for me, they're few and far in between, the longest streak I've encountered being a total of 5 items - four being mushrooms and one being a chest with daggers. The shortest encounters between streaks is about 5 - ish.

This time, after the database thing, I found 7 things in a row - three being chests with money, and four being fairy mushrooms. Then, two battles I retreated from, before I got six in a row - four chests with money, two with fairy mushrooms. Somewhere around four battles I retreated from, and then yet another streak of about 7 - four chests with money and three fairy mushrooms.

None of them being harmful, and I basically got 3,400g for free, and it took me less than 15 minutes to get it. It didn't happen until after the database issue.
