So I noticed today in my hatchery that the pets in there are now requiring hunger-feeding now as well. Is this supposed to be happening, as it wasn't occurring before? I ask because if you think about an animal still being in a hatchery, it'd probably still be getting fed from it's mother. o.O

Only Adolescents and older consume hunger. When the Hatchery is revamped, pets will be auto moved out once they become Adolescents. The new feeding system was created with this in mind.

So here's a question...

Will we (or rather, can we) get a warning BEFORE the hatcheries are changed?? Some of us still have multitudes of adolescents sitting around in our hatchery still, probably more than most can fit in their stables.

It'd be nice to get a few days' notice to move things that we KNOW we want/need to keep. Not to mention the handful of pets that will probably turn from hatching to adolescent just before and after the update, when many people may not get the chance to log on and save their precious pets in time.

Just a worry that's been going through my mind. I'd hate to lose half of my future breeders for my themed projects due to bad timing. :(

Yes. Additionally, when Hatchery sizes are initially reduced, they will allow for your Hatcheries to remain overpopulated until you expand the Hatchery sufficiently enough or the pets are moved from it.

Basically, we will take as many precautions as we can to make the transition as smooth as possible. =)

Is there a way to buy the pet food like before? Where you just bought a bunch and let it go down gradually. Or do you have to manually feed them once a day if you don't want to pay for the stable hand?

No. The pre-preemptive feeding was removed. It was an overall confusing system that most neglected anyway.

Now, you can either hire Stablehands who will automatically feed your pets for you, wait a few days and then feed your pets, or just click the button once a day and feed your pets.

I'm still not sure why everyone is concerned over the AP thing. I have only been here a month and I'm at 17,904 AP. Questing and missions earn you quite a bit, as do breeding, nurturing, etc.

Ok I am considering buying a stable hand contract for four months but before I do that, I wanted to do some research. Now I am more confused than before.

- If you buy a stable hand contract, does she work in all of your stables or just the one you hired her for?

Systematic Feeding: Reduces the cost of Feeding Pets by 10%. Bonus increases depending on the number of Pets owned up to a maximum of 80%.

- How often does the bonus discount increase? How many pets would have to be in your stable to get the maximum 80%?

- If you have 100 pets and hire a stable hand for 3 months (84 days), it would cost 100 diamonds + 8,400 gold, + 100 pets(22.5x84)=197,400 gold and 100 diamonds?

1. She covers all the stables you own.

2. Not too sure...I'm a little close to 80%-100% full capacity for all my stables, and I'm at 60% bonus.

3. Where did 22.5 come from? o: (I just assume it's the diamond price and the gold price)

Because of the 10% discount...I had no idea what the rate of the bonus is when you have more pets so I just did 10% of 25 is 2.5, then 25-2.5=22.5 for 1 hunger point.

Not too sure...I'm a little close to 80%-100% full capacity for all my stables, and I'm at 60% bonus.

That's interesting. Do you think its calculated by the amount of pets you own over how much space you have in your stables or just the total amount of pets(adults and teens) that you own?

Maybe I am making this way too complicated or I am misunderstanding something. I would like to calculate how much the stable hand would really cost. Initially I thought it was just the total price listed also, but after reading this thread that does not seem to be the case. More on Stablehands
Stablehands will automatically feed your pets everyday immediately after your pets consume Hunger. You WILL still have to pay for the cost of feeding - but with a Stablehand you won't have to worry about feeding your pets manually.
