"Alright then so if this is the witch's command center in theory could we find out where the main exit is using the moniters or other computers in the command center?"

"Maybe," August responded. "Assuming we could figure out how it all works."

Scarlet nods once, "Alright then. I wish we had someone with us who knows about technology and computers. What are the chances of this place leading us to freedom?"

Mrs. Mouse tutted her own dissatisfaction with their conundrum. "It really is a pity that none of us can figure out the computers. With time, sure, but do we have that?" she sighed. However, she found herself growing quiet as they all gathered in the hidden room. What Jay said gathered up exactly what she couldn't find the words to express himself.
"This is...different from what I expected..." Different was an understatement. It looked like they walked into another world. Not in the weird and wild way that you would expect with a place like The Menagerie. Rather, it was weird in its normality. A bed was shoved in one corner, the princess-pink sheets in disarray. Crayon drawings littered the floor, more tacked onto the wall, as vibrant and pristine as if they were drawn yesterday. Compared to the rest of the passages, there were no signs of dust in the room. But that wasn't to say there weren't signs of a struggle.
Jay lighted down on a metal pole on wheels that was pushed up against the bed. "I don't get it. Is this the witch's bedroom? I feel like we're back in our own world."

"Could the witch be a child who never grew up or was never given the chance to grow up," Scarlet thought out loud, "Or could the child be the key to all of this? Jay could you help me figured out what could have made the signs of a struggle please?"

"Sure," Jay responded before jumping back down onto the floor. "The marks look a bit similar to the ones in the hallway. They're too small to have come from a wolf and I don't think those guys would have come in here. So who?" It was a bit beyond him but he could tell that whatever animal made the marks really wanted out. Most of the scratches seemed to run around aimlessly before clustering around the door and the single window that let in a warm golden glow and the faint hum of traffic.
Mrs. Mouse moved to pick up one of the drawings which contained a stick figure drawing of a little girl with black hair next to a large figure with longer black hair. "My children used to draw similar things. A mother and a daughter...and an animal who wanted out?" She shook her head. "If the witch really lived her, I think this room must be very old. And yet, it looks like it was vacated just yesterday. I think we should try to look out the window to get a better idea."

Scarlet stands below the window, "Alright Mrs.Mouse climb on and I'll give you a boost. Wait do you think that the witch turned her daughter into an animal too if that's what this is?"

August tilted his head slightly, studying the drawings curiously. "Black hair..." He mumbled softly. "Yes, that would be the witch. Lovely black hair..." He looked around the room, hopping over to inspect the scratches. His feathers ruffed up a bit, eyes pinning in interest as an idea hit him. "...If you think we should find the daughter... I.. may have a theory."

Scarlet looks at August, "Please explain your theory August." She was very intrested in hearing any idea that might possibly work to help get them away from the witch.

"That's a very good idea, Scarlet. It might explain why the witch made a place like this at all but I can't believe that a parent would do such a thing to their kid. Oh, and yes, thank you for the lift," she tutted before Scarlet helped her to the window sill. There was plenty of space on the window so she put her paws up and looked out only to see...nothing. "This is very strange. I hear noise almost like my cabin back in our world but all I see is a golden glow!"
This was all starting to confuse Jay a bit. So many elements and so many things they were learning all at once. He couldn't help but equivocate it to the climax of a play--except they never got the choice to play their part in it. Just add a big bad wolf and that would be that.
"Sorry, Gray," he muttered under his breath despite the fact that no one knew his thoughts. He had to force himself to focus on that matter at hand. "Do you think we've met this daughter, August? If that's really what this is. Actually, now that I think about it, didn't we see tracks like this somewhere else...?"
