The elven prince still looked faint from his panic over the canine bandit, but he had composed himself enough to look about the room for an answer from anyone. She could tell the Empress, from the frenzied state of the guards, and Diana were furious, but the rest of the room seemed in a state of collective shock. He wanted to say something, but no words came to him in his still frazzled state.

The Empress had soon walked back into the room, ready to give an explanation on all of the rumors circling around.

" As you all know, there was another assassination attempt. " she casted an annoyed glance at Diana, who just glared at her. " And it was indeed a werewolf. "

At that, the nobles murmured quietly, stopping when she began talking again. '" But rest assured, he is no longer in the palace. I have personally dispatched soldiers to capture him. And once I do he and his employer will be hanged for treason. " she once again looked at Diana. Technically she wasnt lying. She was going to hang his body in her palace, after all she didn't specify whether or not it would be in the gallows.

(she's really hung on this whole taxidermy thing, huh? :^))

"Well.. That's a way to ruin the night." He gave the Empress a weak smile. "And your Majesty, as for the rest of us? Do you intend for us to remain here until he and his employer are found?"

She turned to him. " I suppose not. After all, that wouldn't be fair, now would it? You are all welcome to kwave, at your own discretion of course. "

Nicote frowned. "No offense, Empress, but I believe that the werewolf assistant was Bildernian." He said. He knew the laws of Bildenria by heart, here were ways he could make sure Phoenixs friend wasnt going to get into a death penalty....especially because he had the feeling the guy wasnt he murdering kind of person. Or at least put him to court by Bildernian standards. As it was, there were much more useful ways to sentence criminals then death, especially with how low Bildernias defences were at the moment from their recent war. They couldn't afford to lose more people then necessary. For niote, death was not punishment for many people, in fact it could be a blessing.

(Well then, challenge accepted. Guess that's what he gets from being Diana's unintentional lapdog.)

He straightened his posture to give her a slight bow.
"Well, I suppose not. There is.. of course the concern of such a thing spreading though, is there not? Unlike my father, I am not very versed in the studies of the dark arts, so I can't really say with any certainty but I do hope that loathsome beast hasn't taken a bite out of you, Seraphina.
It would break my heart to see Arkaos in a horrible state if anything were to happen to you. But we'll have to do this sort of gathering again on.. a much better occasion and a happy day.
Come, Ziva, I do not want to wait around for it to make a snack out of me either."

"Yes, your Highness."
Ziva sighed, holding the door for the prince as he stepped outside into the night air. The voices of guards were very clear as the manhunt continued. It was definitely a good time to leave. The prince didn't seem very concerned with discussing the matter further and she was too tired herself to stop him at this point.

She let out a quiet sigh, watching Prince Armias leave.
Usually she would be disrespected by someone saying her name. But with the current situation, she wasnt going to ridicule him for it. Not again, anyway.


She looked over at the prince who had just spoke to her. " Unfortunately for him, we are not in Bildenria, we are in Arkaos. He is conspiring with an official wanted crimminal in my country, meaning both of them will be punished by our laws. " she said.

"THen he must also be tried by the laws of Bildernia, for if he conspires with one from Arkaos, he will have betrayed his own. We do not hold betrayal in high regard, nor do we appreciate our criminals being judged only by another." Nicote said. "I expect that he will also have BIldernian magic in his viens, which would make him much harder to catch if his abilities are certain ones."

Nanita was a little confused but went along with it. Knowing Nicote, he probably had plans to toss the guy into one of the many neck-breaking punishments that he and his twin had cooked up that were supposedly, "much more productive and worse then death".
