"Wow, I've never felt so ordinary in my life!" Jay trilled with a bit of song. "I was just a bartender, but here is someone who wanted to be a spy!" He really hoped that aided them well on this quest, though he liked people with a more homey feel. Flying closer to Grey and Hunter again, he trilled out another song. "But don't worry, I think working on a farm is quite admirable too. It's strange that you both seem to have such a similar story though..."

The mouse hesitated. "I had a name before I came to this place, and once upon a time I picked another to suit my new form, but all the people who knew me by those names are long gone. "Meredith, Shiver...I think I could never respond to those again. For now, how about you just call me Mrs. Mouse. And you, my new fox friend? What name do you go by?"

"Mrs. Mouse my name is Scarlet nice to finally meet you," Scarlet held out a paw for Mrs. Mouse to shake, "hopefully we can find a way out to get back to what really matters our homes and families. What do you think Mrs. Mouse?"

Loki blinked. "Seriosuly? A spy? Sounds like slmeoneI know. He had his head in a screen half he time."


Night roleld his eyes at the white persian. "Let me hguess, he wanted to be a coder?"

"I dont know, he never talked." Loki snoeted

Hunter and Grey shrugged in unison. "Maybe so, but we could be worlds apart in where we were farming." Hunter nodded his agreement as Grey stated that.

"So...are we at least going to continue on our way? And, you kitties, do ya wanna come with?" Grey stepped forward, and flashed a small smile. "There is no percentage in hanging about!"

"Might as well." Loki shrugged.

"Whatever, sure." Night grumbled

The mouse shook Scarlet's much larger paw, feeling almost amused by their size difference. It was nice though, even as strange as they looked. "I think anything is possible for those who have hope. I lost mine, but watching you try so hard to find that door, I think I've regained it. Yes, it's time that we return to our homes..." Motioning with her tail for Scarlet to follow, she started down a hall that could have once housed a river. "I suppose you have a family to go home to?"

"Well accually no," Scarlet told her, "the only family I had got sick the fall before I was sent here and I sent all kinds of letters that were never replied to."
Scarlet didn't enjoy thinking about her past because it was sad, dark, and lonely.

Jay chuckled at the antics of his new friends. They seemed to have come in pairs and though they might not see it themselves, but the pairs acted quite similar. It was something he intended to observe upon as they traveled, but as Grey said, it really was time to get on their way. "I think we've already seen all this room has to offer, so I'm thinking we should try to find a way outside. At least that way I can get up high and see what this place looks like from the outside!"

"And yet, you want to return home?" Mrs. Mouse hesitated. Although the Menagerie wasn't home, it had its perks for someone with no family to go home to. It was part of why she lost the spark to look for a way out herself. "I don't know if anyone waits for me either. I've been here years already and my children left the house long before. I doubt they would expect me back at this point."

"I just want to see the outside world again to see my home in the forests. The pines, maples in the fall, and the berry bushes there were what I grew up with Mrs. Mouse I can't take being trapped here anymore," Scarlet spoke.
