Story Entry
Karen sat near a empty table,nothing was on it except a small cake with 3 candles on it.Her little Joe would have been 3 today,if it hadn't been for the accident.She sighed and lit the candles and left the room to go find some pictures.She came back with a scrapbook somewhat full of pictures,mostly baby pictures.She flipped through it stopping at a few to remember the small memories with her little one;a baby poking her father's nose while he laughed,a mother hugging her newborn,a birthday...the only one.She looked at the cake and saw the candles were almost out.She blew them out and put the cake in the fridge.Suddenly the doorbell rang.She went to go see who it was and almost dropped dead."hi honey,i-i know this is a hard time for you and you blame me for what happened but i just want to let you know that no matter what you think of me i'll still love you"He held out flowers,one hadn't bloomed yet.She laughed happily and hugged him,"i never blamed you,i blamed myself for making you two go to the store".Tears ran down her face,both of Joy and Sadness.He led her inside and put the flowers into a ceramic vase.A few months later Karen found out she was pregnant...and the late bloomed flower was the only one still alive from that bunch.
