5 silvers added to Inventory

You head into town, passing few people the street as you make your way to the marketplace. As usual, it's a quiet day with just a few people milling about doing their business or just stopping to smell the roses (sometimes literally), some of whom greet at you in passing. You recognize a more than a few vaguely familiar faces as you walk by--Ravyne's not exactly a large or particularly populated town, though you do also see your fair share of people who are obviously not locals, staring in awe at the colorful blooms or sketching them in notebooks.

Speaking of colorful blooms, flowers are everywhere you look, growing on bushes, lining the road, planted in boxes, brightening up the windows of nearly every other shop. The ground is littered with petals, whisking about in every direction every time the wind blow, and more than a few get caught in your hair within minutes. Goodness forbid anyone with allergies live in Ravyne, though nobody can argue that it isn't at least a little charming.

You pass several stalls selling flowers and a rather ridiculous amount of florists before you even make it to the center of town, where there's at least a bit more variety in businesses, as well as shops selling more practical things, such as food and equipment. There are quite a few apothecaries in town, though, and you realize that the boy hadn't specified any particular one. If he's correct and it is just a cold, though, any apothecary will probably do--such a common remedy ought to be in stock pretty much everywhere, at any time. It shouldn't be difficult to find one that has what you need.

(Did it! How the backstory thing fit in with what Ravyne is really like?)

Basic

Name
Falcon 'Hothead' / 'Fantam' Spiritflame

Gender/Pronouns
Male, He/Him

Age
20

General Appearance

Falcon is of average-height, with long ginger hair he has never gotten round to dealing with properly and so always ends up stuffing into a pony-tail. He spends most of his time with an exasperated look on his face, like it's his personal mission to get irritated at every little issue.
His right shoulder is shrouded in a depiction of a winged ram in what appears to be an array of blue dyes, but it's no tattoo. He was born with the markings, which shimmer and move as if alive when he is experiencing emotional turmoil. He doesn't know what they mean, but he feels safer pulling his collar high around his neck to keep them hidden when he's around others.
Falcon doesn't have a reflection, and so has never seen his own face before. So he's not actually sure what his true features look like, or how well his transfiguration ability works.

Starting Location
Ravyne

Personality
Easily irritated, even the fact he has a flying ram marking on his shoulder is a cause for annoyance, since he would never endure flight himself. He only ever shows a kind face if he thinks there's something he can get out of it. Otherwise, he keeps mostly to himself. Those who know Falcon often remark that he doesn't keep friends, just people who are useful to him from time to time.
Out of everything, a plan succeeding or having a chance to prove himself right are Falcon's most enjoyable moments. He won't shy from lending a helping hand where needed provided the debt is repaid later on.
Overall, Falcon is a driven individual with a lifetimes worth of willpower to get his way. He's not one to let others get him down, or hamper him in pursuit of his goals.

Backstory
Falcon never knew his parents - so far as he is aware, he was abandoned and left orphaned younger than he can remember on the streets of Ravyne. He was always told he must have been left by one of its many visitors - maybe a harassed travelling botanist or artist who had no time to look after a bothersome child - since he doesn't look local. Just one of the many reasons he never developed an overly strong bond to the place of his childhood.
Taken into a children's home amongst dozens of others, he grew up as an outsider because his emotional outbursts which revealed his non-human, 'Fantastical' traits. The other children side-lined and bullied him, giving him his nickname of 'Fantam' - or Fantastical phantom, for his involuntary disappearing acts and appearance changing. Meanwhile he, for the most part, was put up with until he was old enough to go on alone.
The next few years were haphazard ones - spent getting into and out of trouble by the skin of his teeth, forming temporary alliances with others before swiftly making enemies of them. He never stayed in one place for long, always roaming around different hidey-holes and bases he had found in the abandoned corners of Ravyne where nobody would come looking. Having recently stirred up a lot more trouble than his usual standard, Falcon has just emerged from a period of laying low waiting for the dust to settle. Today comes the inevitable day where it's finally time for him to move on from the place of his childhood and find a new crowd who won't see him coming.

Likes
- Cinnamon buns; really most foods with tasty spices and seasonings, anything but the disgusting gruel he had to eat as a child
- Getting one over on others; pulling off elaborate plans and tricks is the most satisfying thing
- Reading; there's nothing better than curling up next to a crackling hearth with a book, though sometimes he can get a bit carried away. He often reads far longer than he should until he can't see straight. After he gets over himself and stops blaming the book he'll angrily remark: "I read that 5 times how did I miss it? Can I even read???"
- Scouting out new areas; getting to know the unknown is essential to ensure you know all the escape routes, hidey-holes and potential opportunities

Dislikes
- Most things to some degree, once he's decided they aren't worth his time
- Water; he never learnt to swim and hates getting caught in the rain
- Large reptiles; maybe he had a run-in with one in a past life? Whatever the reason, he just can't stand the twisting Deja-vu feeling they give him
- The feeling that someone knows something he doesn't; it either sets his insatiable curiosity off, or his sense of a looming, unknown threat

Fears
Heights. Falcon has been an acrophobic for as long as he dares remember - which isn't often. He doesn't like to think about his fear, and would never admit it to others.

Ambitions/Dreams
Falcon never felt any desire to do anything for others, since as soon as he were to let his guard down and they realised he was a Fantastical being they would shun him all the same. Instead, he is driven to prove to himself if no-one else that he's better than them.
Though he feels torn and foolish about keeping a flicker of hope to this day, he still does dream of finding his parents again, if they're out there. Maybe then he could understand why he is the way he is. But this goal is secondary - in a way, he's equally hopeful as he is fearful of the consequences of finding them.

Biggest Flaw
In pursuit of his own goals Falcon isn't averse to using lies to secure the aid of others, often more than is necessary. As such, he has burnt a lot of bridges, and few who know him for long enough trust him at his word.

Other
Falcon, to the best of his knowledge, has always returned borrowed wheelbarrows on time.

Make sure to read the rules one more time, but it otherwise looks good and your backstory fits perfectly ^^ Good to know we'll be getting someone who properly returns wheelbarrows :D

The moon has begun to rise by the time you finally gather your courage and set foot back on the path heading out of the town. Even in the dim light, you can easily make out every stone and bump in the road--at least there's one good side to being so sensitive to light. If you begin your journey now, you should have a good seven or eight hours before the sun rises, and you're not likely to run into anyone on the road at this hour. Then again, nighttime is often perceived to be the hour of thieves and other unsavory folks, so it might not be completely safe for a lone traveler such as yourself. Still, you're accustomed to moving in darkness yourself, and being robbed is...probably unlikely.

She thought about it while walking. What robber would even want this stuff? Im sure it wouldnt fetch that high of a price. Plus, if I needed to, I could hit someone and hurt them a lot with this lantern.

Did I godmod/Mary Sue? As a character I've ended up changing Falcon every time I go over onto another RPG so I've probably made a few contradicting traits.

Wanted to ask, is the mark thing on his shoulder a fine thing for a Fantastical being or were you thinking something more obvious/less detailed than the flying ram is? Did think it was a bit of a stretch.

Have also just noticed I lost some of my punctuation when I pasted over, oops!

Perhaps read rule number 5 a second time hint hint wink wink :P
(I figure you would know all the rules already but yk ^^")

It's perfectly fine! I would say it's probably pretty rare to have something that detailed as opposed to just like blob marks or something, but it's not out of the realm of possibility for this world :D

Oh, and a question, has he got somewhere to stay or is he pretty much just living on the streets?

You leave Perell behind you within minutes, and soon the lights of the town are out of sight, the bustle of the town completely inaudible even to your ears. In the complete darkness, it's almost eerie, but peaceful at the same time--you can hear the faint chirp of crickets in the open fields, and a cool night wind rustles the grass as you walk. You're not sure where you're headed, but you know that, if you continue along on the road, it'll take just about a night's worth of traveling to reach next town on the Albatross Line. On the other hand, you could simply leave the road and head off into the wilderness, but you're much less certain about what you'll find, or if you're prepared and equipped enough.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~

Literally the opposite of Falcon's strengths. Oh goodie what a great start, my apologies ( >.\<)

Yeah, have read them again but I probably did it too quickly the first time. Will make sure to go through again.

I'll edit and amend my form later when I've got time. Will also put the punctuation back in and ping you when finished.

Ehh... technically half and half? Probably more roams around different 'bases' as it were, not a proper home but derelict areas no-one would notice a squatter, again only if that fits in with what Ravyne is like. So e.g. empty warehouse, abandoned flat/office, down stairs into a basement. Probably wouldn't make a permanent home out of any one of them but uses known places when he's in the area/doesn't want to drag attention to them by using them too often, if that makes sense?

If that's fine will also put that into the form.
