The dude with the wings doesn't seem to be paying attention but his companion is watching Aaron's approach closely. As the lizardman makes his way over, another humanoid runs up to join the two already there. Upon reaching the fountain, Aaron sidles up next to the wing guy and peers over his shoulder. He hisses softly in vague interest at whatever is written there, not that he's actually reading it.

The pub was a rancorous, rowdy area at this time of the late afternoon full of adventurers chatting loudly with each other with pints in hand, even spilling outside of the pub itself. Some horses stood waiting, tied up to posts just outside the place.
Near the pub itself, there were some alleyways leading to other parts of the city.
To the right, the inn stood with several men chatting just outside of it.

It was difficult to read what was written in the book, no doubt in small thanks to the Prince's disastrous handwriting.
Damien closed the book suddenly at the sound of Kandir's voice and tucked it away into a satchel worn under his robes.
"It's alright, friend. My bodyguard needed a chance to pick up a few..-" He stared at the lizard that he had suddenly noticed all over him.
Armand I 60 HP I Kingdom of Vathia (Marketplace Center)
Armand had drawn his sword at this point, poking the lizard squarely in the chest as a silent warning. The sharp golden blade still seemed to have some dried blood over it. "Your highness. Your word."

I see the lizard lean over Damien and then his guard draw his sword out and point it at the lizard. I instinctively reach for my gun and pull it out and load it, but I hold it just out of sight under my cloak. I wait for what happens next not wanting to shoot someone before I know what's going on.

Sven, 160 HP, Vathia Kingdom (Pub)
Sven loiters around the front of the pub, before slipping into the alleyway between the Inn and Pub, deciding to do a lil' bit of nice ole eavesdropping on the men's conversation. He keeps watch of both the end of the alleyway and the forum. There are a few people sitting at the fountain, but because the draugr is so far he can only see their shifting blurs through the water.
Alright, time to hear all the latest gossip-- maybe it'd give him some direction in terms of what he should do with his-- death.

The two men outside the inn seemed to be city knights, talking about the job, no doubt.
"Did ya hear about that sword? Prince has been a wreck with that thing missin'. Thought he was going to get a manhunt going. Lucky us."
"Yeah. Heard the Princess went and paid someone to nab it up. When the Prince found out about that, he called the whole thing off."
"The princess? Really?"
"Yeah, apparently those two have a bit of a feud going on ever since the Princess started talking about that Oracle up in Great Hill. If you ask me, I think she's just planning on trying to take the throne from him."
"The Oracle? That crazy woman that's always on about the Dragon Mother speaking to her? Man.. Ya know, it's stuff like this that makes me real glad I don't have to deal with the royals or any of the nobles. This city's a wringer enough, I tell ya."

"Ah.. No need, Armand. Kandir, thank you. But he isn't harming my safety. I'm.. not sure what he's after honestly."
Damien stood up swiftly, tucking his wings closer behind himself as he brushed off his robes. "We should be going, actually. It wouldn't be good for us to remain out too late at night the way things have been as of late."

Armand lowered his sword, but kept an eye on the lizard. "True. Those beasts have quite the foothold during the night. Even so. It is why I intended to come along with you, your Highness. Your sister pleaded as much of me."

"True. She still remains under the impression I cannot fend for myself. While I won't contest her orders to you precisely, with any luck, Kandir and I will not be needing your blade for much."

"Then my work is easy." Armand chuckled, sheathing the sword, motioning for the two to lead the way off to the ruins.

Near the city gates, there seemed to be a large beast with nightmarish jaws still oozing a fetid poison. It laid limply, having been pierced multiple times by something large and imposing, like a rack of antlers. The beast was still hissing at the man who had put an end to its life and pack so swiftly. Several smaller bestial pups were also dead near it, having been pierced cleanly by arrows.
Several of the city guards who had witnessed the scuffle and called for several of the knights to dispatch the beast earlier relaxed and put away their own bows and blades, wondering how such a creature had even managed to get so close to the city.

Sven listened intently. Royal gossip, what else did he expect? Well, it wasn't too interesting to him, and even less useful, but if there was some sly thief stealing royal belongings in this city-- well, it'd probably be best for Sven to leave, incase they ever decided to reinstate that manhunt...
The draugr creeps off further into the alleyway, thinking internally how far away the guard post he'd come in from was and in what direction. Or, perhaps he could still see if there was a library around? Chances were it was closed at this time, but locked doors had never stopped Sven from trying to get into a building.
If he was lucky, maybe he could find a book about undead and "borrow" it for reading along the way to the next town. Maybe he'd find something interesting in there about resurrection.
