As it gets on you, you can see that its eyes are totally dark, like black holes. You stare for a moment and then it rushes you, knocking you to the ground.

Surprisingly, it works. Whatever it is falls down and... melts into a puddle of black tar covering you from head to toe, stinging your skin, but it otherwise seems harmless. As you get to your feet on a sidewalk covered in a puddle of the same substance think you can make out a lump in the middle.
