She looks at the young dwarf "Ok Ragna, where did you last see him? Let's go from there. Ok? Where did he say he was going?" She was trying to get the girl to calm down and think. Hopefully getting her talking about him, or back to where she saw him last would help her remember.

She shook her head, apparently not having noticed your hand reaching for her. "I'm not certain. Only that the dwarf I met said she was fleeing from the war," she answered. She was staring at the meat now with a look of mild disgust.

The girl rubbed at her eyes. "Well, he said we were gonna take a trip, and then one night, he got really scared. Some big people came, and he told me to run south to the nearest village and he'd catch up with me... But he's been missing for three days..."

Malak was certainly intrigued by what Elysetta was telling him about the dwarves. He had no knowledge about their culture, but he supposed that if they were regarded positively by others then it must be something rather awful for them to have gone to war with one another.
"It sounds worth looking into," he said standing up and preparing his pack, "I would at least be interested in seeing these dwarves and learning more about them."

Malak froze in the process of putting his cloak on and looked at her in shock. How could he have been so stupid...
"I am so sorry," he said hastily, removing his pouch from his belt and holding it out to her, "There is some dried fruit in there if that works better for you."

She gave you a look of almost sheepish gratefulness. "Sorry. Pixies are allergic to meat, though, which is just as fine, because we're downright repulsed by it. Fruit is good. Thank you," you noticed she was slightly red in the face as she explained it.

Malak felt terrible for not even thinking to ask her. In his village they ate what was available,
which was almost always meat from animals they raised themselves. It had never occurred to him that others may have different eating habits.
"I am very sorry," he said to her, bowing his head, "It was thoughtless of me not to ask if you would prefer something else."

Malak continued about his preparations while she ate, taking his time as he rearranged the items in his pack, taking care to wrap the lycanthrope potion in a spare piece of clothing so that it was padded. When it appeared as though she was done he stood up, securing his scimitar and pouch to his belt and nodded at her.
"Yes, I think it is time we moved on," he replied...
