Strangely, half way to the kitchen the footsteps stopped for a moment before being followed by the sound of somthing large hitting the floor on your right.

At first you didn't saw anything but soon you noticed the set of pitch black eyes staring down at you, they didn't seemed attached to anything or at least nothing you were able to see.
