August craned his neck to look down at Grey. "Do you smell anything?"

"I'm worried about Hunter as well but I don't think I ran in a circle," Scarlet starts pacing, "I agree though we should start exploring on our own."

The cat twins had each gone in a different direction.

Night was nowhere to be seen but Loki was running frantically back front he direction hed gone. Something about "poison ivy" and "beetles"

"Um... well, you of course. Mrs. Mouse, the cats... the wolves that have already left... and... fox?" Grey says, turning in a full circle, her nose searching everywhere before zeroing in on a direction. "That way." She tilted her head like a dog might, almost asking permission to go forward like a hunting dog bays for release to chase after the hare... or fox.

Hunter was... lost. He had to admit that. Otherwise, he wouldn't be truthful and then everyone wouldn't believe him just like in the story with the boy crying 'wolf'. Hunter sat down, deciding to think things over before going another step.
"Okay. So... we back track." Hunter says, getting up and turning straight around. He frowns, gut instinct screaming at him that he hadn't been walking/running/padding through a brightly lit, well polished, hallway that reminded him something of a bubble with the way the walls shimmered and seemed to move.
"Okay... Nope! Then maybe we... keep going forward?" Hunter turns on his heel again and finds himself being faced with a giant glass wall. "In that case I guess I'll stay put... or..." He decides to head through the bubble like passageway, hoping desperately despite the growing sense of dread that he was going the right way to find his friends.

Scarlet paces around where she is hoping to find her scent again, "Hunter! Can you hear me?! Do you see anyone at all Jay?" Her ears flick back and forth as her tail lashes out of fustration, fear, and nervousness.

"Fox, fox. Mrs. Mouse mentioned a fox. Keep going that way, then, and i'll keep an eye out!" August replied.

Mrs. Mouse hopped down from the steps, hurrying over to where Loki hopped about. "Oh dear. Are you quite alright? I guess that hall was a bust then. Where did Night go, though? Hopefully not vanished like a shadow," she added with a chuckle. However, at Gray's comment, she perked right up. "Do you think that's Scarlet? We really must find a way to follow that scent!"

"I don't see Hunter," Jay sighed. "We're too out in the open ourselves. Do you want to go rest by those boulders over there? I think I hear the sound of running water and my feathers could use a serious wash!" He tried to sound jubilant, but even Jay knew that his voice was tense, only managing a false cheer. Everything just felt...off right now. But did he fear for himself or for the others?

Scarlet pants as she walks toward the boulders, "Sure go ahread and take a bath and I'll try to take a nap." Scarlet's paws hurt but she did not want to admit it. She felt like she had a quill or sharp rock in her paw pad.

"You don't want a bath too?" Jay asked sketically. "I don't think there are any alligators in the water." In fact, the stream was quite small when they reached it, pooling behind the boulder into a little oasis. Considering the otherwise flat landscape, a few trees offered shade, which Jay happily took advantage of. Landing in the pool, he fluttered about before finding a shallow place to start grooming his feathers.

"I'll take a bath after my nap," Scarlet yawns, "Believe me I need one." She walks to the boulders while trying to avoid getting wet and lays down. Her fur was matted down with sweat and grime but she was having a hard time staying awake.
