Scarlet was still running as fast as she could away from the sound of wolves. Running blidnly she subconciously heard Jay's smacking into the wall. After a few more turns Scarlet begins to slow down as her paws begin to feel like lead.

After another second of worrying, Jay decided that if he should run one direction or another, it should be after Scarlet. She wasn't in her right mind right now and when she came back to it, she would need a friend. Flying up, he took off down the halls, hoping that he picked the right directions based on the sound of scrabbling paws. "Scarlet! Scarlet, you should stop running now! Ah seriously...where did you go?" he huffed more to himself than the fox, wondering if his little wings could ever catch up.

Scarlet pants heavily as she slows down, "Jay? Jay where are you?" She looks around for Jay only to notice she is in an unknown area of the Menagerie. "Anyone there? Can anyone hear me? Please answer me."

Strangely enough, the area didn't look as green and lush around Jay as he was used to. The ground appeared dry and cracked, sand showing through places where the tiles had cracked. Feeling nervous, he called out to Scarlet again. "Scarlet...ah, I think I hear you!" He took another corner, finding ancient tree trunks collapsed on the ground, sparse grass growing from their husks. "Creepy. Did we find our way to the safari or something?" It made him wish that Hunter had followed them.

Scarlet calls out again, "Jay? Is that you?" She paces around nervously while trying to calm herself down. She took a deep breath then breathed out and listened for any sound.

That time, Jay was sure that he heard Scarlet. "Just stay put okay!" With that, he took off, deciding to put his nerves aside for now. It didn't take long to catch up so when he saw the streak of orange fur, he darted right for it, landing on Scarlet's back. "That was insane! I have no idea where we are anymore! Ah really, but I'm glad that you're safe..."

"Isn't the fact that this place exists magic? And was I just imagining it or did i see Jay?" Grey asks.

Hunter looks after his friends, torn. "Uh, guys! Wrong way!" And he pursues them with out a second thought though he was already far behind.

Mrs. Mouse turned, trying to listen past all the chatter. "Jay? You saw him? Where? We should follow!" she exclaimed. Waving both her paws, she tried to rally all the others. "I think something fortuitous happened to us after all. August, can you fly higher and be our eyes? Hopefully, they're not the ones in trouble now..."

"Let's hope." Loki muttered....

August nodded vigorously. "Yes, yes of course. Though, er, if you could please describe them? I'm afriad I'm not sure what they look like..."
