"Have to excuse me, haven't been a noble for quite a while now. I'm not exactly keen on all the drama that this country has found itself engrossed in."

He walked into the room, leaning against the wall.

" Grand Duke Lunen. He is the late emperor's older brother. If Seraphina were to die, after Diana's son and daughter, he would be the next in line. If her spot were empty, it would be quite easy to usurp the throne.

Consort Fiona is a princess from a country in the east. She was given to the late emperor as a sort of peace offering 7 years ago. She has a 7 year old son. However, he is too young to become emperor. One has to be at least 14. "

"I see. Even if the Consort had anything to gain from usurping the throne, the law would prevent such a measure anyways."
He mulled a bit further, before suddenly looking back at Gallagher with a hint of surprise on his face.

"I'm sorry, did you say that this Grand Duke was the late Emperor's older brother? That would mean the throne would have been originally entitled to him, would it not? What do you know of that?"

" Naturally, yes. But their father decided the late Emperor would be a better fit. The Grand Duke...is very...aggressive. Too aggressive. "

".. Interesting. Seems we may have found a culprit. Although just hearsay isn't proof enough of guilt, if we can get any information on his activities, it may be wise to do so as soon as we can."
He winced slightly with a growl as he wiped a bit of alcohol from a small bottle retrieved from his overcoat over his snout to treat the wound.
He resolved to treat it with a bit of honey in the morning, noting the dangerous proximity it had to his right eye. He'd really need to work on his speed..

Seeing the small amount of pain he went through treating his wound, he was glad he had managed to avoid getting sliced by any of the swords. Although, the mask did help.

(Definitely going to have to recap Orca later, at least I don't really need to hide Lowell from palace guards so hopefully I can finally get some interactions with the Bilderians in if not with him then Es since they are both dark magic users. XD)

Lowell figured it was good enough for now and set the alcohol soaked rag down on the desk, taking a seat on the wooden chair he had thrown his coat over the back of.

"So.. This is off topic, but I admit you've got my curiosity. What's under that mask of yours, dare I ask?"

"BOht of them. Their choice. They're twins, you see, and one is more suited to action and the other more suited to te logistics of it all so it works out. For them, anyways." Nanita shrugged.
