The journey towards the lake was pleasant. There was little conversation between them aside from small talk, but Malak felt comforted by Elysetta's presence. By the time they reached the water it was nearing nightfall, and Malak stopped suddenly in his tracks to stare transfixed at the large body of water before him, the moonlight reflecting off of the surface.
"Beautiful," he breathed. As he stared at the beauty before him, he caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye. Something was glinting on the ground. Like a magpie he barely hesitated before stepping forward to...

As Malak neared the object he knelt down and dusted some dirt and leaves from the item's surface. Once uncovered he saw it to be a bottle filled with bright blue liquid. He had next to no clue what it could possibly be so he turned to...

Elysetta came over and crouched down next to you. "I don't really know much about potions, mind you, but I did pick up a thing or two from a friend," she informed you.
Gently, she dusted her fingertips against the surface of the bottle and frowned softly. "Well, the bottle is warm, but not too warm. Perhaps within the Class C range for potions. That would mean that it's either some sort of gradual-working poison, repellent, or intense painkiller," she informed you. "And the color would suggest something relating to lycanthropes, or simply shifters in general. Though, it is similar to that color which would suggest rodents. I detect a slight shade difference that suggests otherwise, however."
And then, she picked up the bottle. She opened it, dipped her pinkie in, and touched it lightly to her tongue. She grimaced. "A bitter taste. Not too bitter, though. Kind of tastes like a really bland sort of tree nut. Only not salty at all," she described. Then, she placed the cap back on the vial and held it out for you to take. "Definitely lycanthrope repellent," she dubbed.

Malak watched with interest as Elysetta crouched down next to him and began examining the potion. His eyes widened in surprise as she began demonstrating an expertise that she claimed not to have,
handling it, smelling, and even tasting it.
"Don't really know much, huh?" he said drily, standing up and dusting off his pants, "Whats a lycanthrope?"

The slightest blush colored Elysetta's cheeks. "I suppose I was around this friend rather a lot," she muttered, and stood up as well. "Lycanthrope. Roots lycan - wolf, and anthropo - man. basically, a werewolf, but not really. There are differences between the two, however subtle they may be."

Malak saw the color touch her cheeks and he smiled quietly to himself again. The blush accentuated her features, and she thought she looked beautiful in the fading light. He considered her words thoughtfully, for he had never heard such a thing.
"Are they dangerous?" he asked, "I would suppose so, if this potion repels them."
