((Yes, Orca, if you're talking about Mrs. Mouse and the twins.))

Jay sighed. He really wanted to fly up and see the top of the stairs, but he supposed the others were right. "Then...should we give it five minutes before we decide to move. Just in case the wolves come back?" He shivered when he heard another howl, they had run past quite fast, but strangely, they still sounded nearby, as if maybe only a few walls separated them, but then, the marble floors had that kind of effect. Maybe the wolves really had moved on?

Mrs. Mouse climbed up, glad that at least one of the twins was feeling cooperative right now. And not a moment too soon. Just as she stood on her hind legs on the cat's back, the first of the wolves ran into view, closely followed by others. When they were within serval yards of each other, the leader, a red wolf, stopped. Amber eyes looked sharp and calculating as they watched, revealing what was perhaps intelligence. A second later, it was proven.

"Wolf," the newcomer called out, his eyes on Gray. "What is your name?" The rest of their group, however, he showed no interest in and the other three wolves behind him held none of the same sharpness in their eyes.

The twins, for once, were silent and mostly unmoving.

Scarlet's fur was on end, "I agree but if they come for us I plan on running as fast as I can to get out of there. Okay?" Her ears strained for signs of the wolves or other predators.

"My name is Grey, and I will respond to no other." Grey says, trying to stay calm and not overdo anything. "What is yours?"

Hunter kept quiet, feeling quite small with not knowing where the wolves were and where his sister was. "O-okay." He whispers. "So... If all else fails, we run?"

"Gray?" The other wolf chuckled. "Then you may call me Red. I'm the leader of this pack, so when I heard a foreign howl, I just had to come and investigate. I didn't expect to see a wolf in such strange company though." He spared the rest of the group a glance, his eyes lingering on the bird atop Gray's back with a rather hungry stare. After a second, his eyes landed back on Gray's. "That is why I've come to invite you to join my pack. Wolves really should stick with their own kin."

Mrs. Mouse pulled herself up a little taller, her gaze meeting the wolf's with a fierceness that didn't fit a mouse. Perhaps she was a timid person in the past but an attitude like that needed to be challenged. Youngins these days. They thought they ruled the world! "Excuse me, sir. It would due not to call us 'strange company'. Is not a wolf with his senses intact in stranger company among feral ones? Gray, I don't think you should listen to him."

~~~
"The anticipation is driving me insane, though!" Jay exclaimed. "Can either of you hear anything? I don't think the wolves went far and my feathers are fluffing up I'm so nervous!" He wanted nothing more than to fly around the corner and chase the pack, but he didn't want to leave the others either. A little bird would probably be the first one to get eaten.
