"Woah! Sorry."
Kipper had been swimming so fast that when she attempted to dodge the kelpari her momentum caused her to continue past the mare while she simultaneously turned to face her, causing kipper to drift backwards for several feet.

" I would be careful if I were you." Kipper addressed the mare in a neutral tone, she knew all to well how many kelpari saw her kind but nevertheless thought it only right to warn the mare of exactly what they were heading for.
"The lake has been possessed by an elemental of the water. If you think you can fight then by all means continue upstream."

And with that she turned and continued on her way towards the lake.

"Thank you but I am sure I can take care of myself!" Amethyst said and swam on until she saw the fighting. She went onto land and she looked at everyone there. She huffed until she saw a ryori then another one. What was ryori doing here? Didn't they keep away from other sylesti? She went up to them only to see an attacked aimed at her. She barely dodged a shadow dagger. She sent water at the ryori in anger. They easily flew up out of the way.

Flung through the air like a smooth pebble, Mermydon, skimmed across the water skipping 8 or 9 times along his back, his body sommersaulting but keeping his fin-wings tucked in until he stopped and sank into the deeper part of the lake. Fortunately, this also put him very close to the falls to his advantage. True Shaldonian stallions could swim up the waterfall, it was their right of passage to reach the top of the 300 foot drop; and that is just what he did. He ascended the water with all his might and will, once at the top he used the inertia from the water going over to launch him into the air and glide back into the fray. From this vantage he could get a wide view of the area and only needed to buzz his wingsevery hundred feet or so to stay airborn. He noticed the blackness spreading inside the water elemental's body making it visible to the eye, but now too murky to know if an ally was there to be healed by the beam. Unfortunately, he could also sense the sylvorpa were starting to become overwhelmed nearly 3 to 2 against the water sprites rising from the detritus. Fish were still scattering about, he hoped Kanakwella could get help to keep the fishes clear. But that was not his job, he had to keep that elemental's focus off of the lake. The height now gave him better room to maneuver from the elemental. Dhuka, the ryori and another kelparie were in the field of vision of the elemental who was beginning to build a small tsunami. He began firing all five beams in random bursts at the creature, too quickly now for him to gain any mana, but causing enough drain to get the monster's attention. The large wave's energy dissipated to only Dhuka's head height as he redrew the water energy to launch a water whip at Mermydon. He dodged and weaved, firing at random when the opportunity provided itself. Every so many hits began to make his golden flowing mane to shimmer with energy. Some he resorbed, but he blasted a return beam among the sylvorpa to help restore some of the hurt they were taking. He hoped Raka could share some of the load, because Dhuka seemed a little overwhelmed by the opponent before her. Even now she was surfacing from the wave that pushed her off of her paws. He was very glad that the creature hadn't picked her up and impaled her among the trees.

Kipper reached the lake in half the time it took the kelpari mare and lept upon the shore to give herself a better view.
From here she could see most of the scene before her, but instead of making the situation clearer it only confused things further.

She was certain that she sensed the presence of two water elementals but by the movement of the water it was clear only one was responsible for savaging the lake.
Kipper closed her eyes and concentrated on the presence of the second elemental, a rather fortunate gift it was that she could sense the presence of such otherworldly entities so precisely.

When she had honed in on the second elemental she opened her eyes and was beyond shocked at what she saw.

A kelpari stallion, rather plain except for the glowing runes that covered his body. It didn't make any sense, all of her other senses told her that she was staring directly at the second elemental but her vision seemed determined to confuse an otherwise undeniable fact.

She needed to warn those who were in the fray of the danger so, she gathered as much breath as she could ask shouted as loud as was possible for one so small. "Be careful, there are two elementals! The brown stallion is not what he seems!"

(Hey guys wanna try and jump back in no garentee that I will be able to keep up every day in have only read the last 2 0r 3 pages of post and skimmed mostly but I got the general idea of what is happening right now.)

"How should we know you are not the elemental framing another? How are any of us to trust each other thrown into this..." Aleria was hit hard with a tentacle from the water elemental, the force nearly knocked her out.She shook her head ignoring the pain surging through her, she dodged another attack when she moved it was easy to realize that she had clearly broken something. She refused to let the others worry though so she did her best to not limp or wince as she moved.

She instead reared up to it and glared at the enemy it was gaining power that was obvious. She attempted to attack swinging herself towards the elemental creature, although she quickly regretted it. She couldn't keep up any sort of act from Myrmydon or Kanakwella or any of them really.

Metal knew now that if she felt pain he would as well. It was a part of the bonding and it wasn't very pleasant. He knew that when he saw his future kids/kittens his mind would be at ease. He would pay the price even if it meant if she died he would die with her. Grim Rose heard his thoughts and grimace. This isn't going to go well was it? Grim Rose thought. She suddenly felt like something was coming towards her. She moved out of the way quickly but She saw Metal hadn't. "Move NOW!" Grim Rose shouted. He moved off to the side and suddenly a wave was sent where they previously were. Grim Rose gasped in shock as she looked at her friends. What if the ryori attacked now? Could they stand an attack? No they couldn't and Grim Rose was sure of that.

Amara walked thought the forest towards the falls smiling as the sun through the trees danced across her mahogany fur and the vivid green grass. As she approached the falls the sunlight faded, and the forest grew very still Something's wrong... she thought to herself before breaking into a sprint. She hadn't visited the falls in quite sometime so this was a possibility, especially with the strange elemental frequencies encroaching in on the forest. She came to an abrupt halt before she had even reached her destination, she could feel the fluctuations in energy... an Elemental....no, there are two... and they are fighting.. she thought slightly stunned at the though between two Elementals battling it out. She trotted carefully to the falls being more aware of her suroundings. when she reached the edge the rushing water having no soothing effect over the chaos bellow. There were others that seemed to be helping one of the Elementals.... a tan stallion with glowing Runes " He must be one of them.." she whispered as the wind from their attacks ruffled her fur and braid as she stood atop the falls watching them.

Sensing Dhuka's admirably well suppressed distress, Raka altered his course towards the struggling morrko. Once close enough to make out the individual sprites assailing her Raka lept from the water, his momentum aided by a jet of water that seemed to fling him directly at his adversaries.

The impact alone was enough to finish the tiny creatures, leaving Dhuka slightly dazed but unharmed.
"Fair warning lady morrko, the sprites are rather dangerous in such numbers be careful not to become overwhelmed"

He turned away and began his course towards the centre of the lake once more. Breaching the surface for a moment to check on his non aquatic allies, he heard the shout of what was obviously a very small creature.
"Be careful, there are two elementals! The brown stallion is not what he seems!"
Raka turned to see the voice was coming from the smallest sylvorpa he had ever seen.

And something told him she was right...
