There are some couches tucked cozily into the corners, though, if you want to use those. You glance at the stamp on the cookbook, which declares that it's due on the 25th, which would be... two weeks from now if it were the 11th.

I decided to sit on a couch, setting my checked-out cookbook next to me. I open up the old, cracked book to a random page because I can. I read said page.
