I like the ideas, but I think I am going with the adopter just wanting to bring up the orphans proper due to not being able to reproduce himself, but the twin who picked them up is the good one. They realize this when the meet the bad one with cold, dead eyes. The reason they got the creeps is because they looked the same.

Elloitt laughed quietly, careful not to wake Aoi. "If they can afford these carriages, then probably. I just hope it's not like the orphanage." She stole a glance out the window. There was a strong possibility she would never see this place again. Not that she cares. But there was also a strong possibility that she might.

Kimani felt confused. Why was Mr. Manitoba so nice to him? He felt... noticed and wanted. It was something he hadn't felt with an adult before. He took the jacket carefully, almost as if it would wither away if he held it too roughly. He followed silently, and gave a final glance

Wren followed Elizabeth to the carriage, plopping down on the soft seats with the blankets.
"It's really toasty in here.." She said as she looked around, a smile evidence ton her face. But she was still worried sick about Kimi.

The carriages pulled up at a grand mansion, it had beautiful landscape and tall, black fences with spikes at the top. The man was definitely a nobleman of sorts. He had the gates open and they entered, parking nearest to the entrance. He smiled a little at getting there, he loved his home.

Akio got out and instantly dropped his backpack in shock. Akira picked it up and smacked him. "Why do you hold your backpack instead of wearing it?" Then she turned to see the mansion and her jaw dropped. It was fancier than anything she'd ever seen.

Liam greeted the carriages at the door with a wide smile as many, many children stepped out. Four carriages to hold them all. That was definitely more than one. They were also much nicer than the ones he had come in. He regarded them cautiously, but still smiled and waved. "Hello!"

Mr. Manitoba smiled and waved to Liam, before telling him to come over. " Liam! Come meet your new siblings! " He.. kind of didn't like children without parents.. which is why he adopted so many children upon finding he couldn't father any himself. Call it a slight obsession.
