Her ears droop slightly as does her tail. Not only was she disappointed but she was getting a massive headache from straining her ears.

The teins stayed the same

"It's alright, don't hurt yourself about it." Hunter said reassuringly, and tried to smile. "I haven't been as much help as you, for sure. I've most likely just got in the way." His smile faultered for a second.

Scarlet took a deep breath, "Hunter you have a big help because you have kept other pretators away from us. I'm just disappointed because I thought it would work when it cannot possibly work the way I was hoping it would."

((Aw, I wish I had time for something like a writing camp. I hope you have fun~ ))

"It's alright, Hunter," Jay murmured, trying to comfort the young hyena. Even though he did make an awful lot of noise, it wasn't like any of them were having much more luck. Flying down, he landed on Scarlet's back, giving her head an awkward pat, although he did find her sass very hard to resist. It just wasn't the right moment to himself fall into that kind of back and forth. Maybe his old self would, but not the him now.

"Please don't be sad, either of you. Let's just head back. I'm getting tired of flying anyway," he huffed. "It's not fair that the others get to rest. It's our turn, right?"

After a slow breath, Mrs. Mouse got to her feet. "Alright. I think that's enough of storytime. We should get moving." It seemed like such a strange thing to say after waiting for their friends to make some kind of signal, considering they never got such a thing. However, Mrs. Mouse was listening with her other senses and her heart. Not human senses, but mouse and magic. And these senses told her it was time.

"I agree Jay let's go back to the others but I'm not telling them we found nothing," Scarlet looks at Jay as he attepts to pat her head, "please don't ruffle my head fur it took over an hour to get it to lay flat after I pressed up against a metal rod."

Loki nudges NIght, who doesn't budge. After a few more nudges, he gives up and swts him with his tail.

NIght stumbles around

"Sorry," Jay murmured as he folded his wing back against his side. Of course he didn't want to mess up anyone's hair. He'd been the sort to always want to ruffle the hair of his friends, but this wasn't quite the same. However, the rest of Scarlet's comment stopped him from apologizing again. "Wait? You rubbed against a metal pole? Where did you find something like that?"

Mrs. Mouse couldn't help but chuckle at the twins. "Come on, Night. I know you've been awake this whole time. Besides, if we don't start moving now, it is us who will be left behind and become lost!" She didn't offer any further explanation as to why she knew this, but she managed to scurry along even faster.

Night dragged himself along. Well, actually it was more like Loki pushing him. "I wasnt awake at all." Night huffed.

Loki rolled his yees. "Thatswhat you said when you were taking your finals."

"You do not want me to anwer that question Jay," Scarlet answers, "it was before I came here." Her fur was all fluffed up and slightly staticy in places. Scarlet still could feel the shock from when that happened if someone rubbed her fur.
