Your words didn't seem to impress or intimidate the elven patrol. "Listen, kitch, we got no time to deal with ya. If the savar left the trees, our tracker will lead us right to him. Ya can either tell us and earn some crowns, or not, and be grished," offered Poulon.

I keep my harsh and condescending voice, and show him that I'm neither impressed.
"- Listen too. I have seen a Savar. I am not sure if it's the one your chasing, all of them look alike... But this Savar has been nice to me, while you currently aren't nice to me at all. So if you want me to help you, and to tell you what I know about him, you have first to explain why this Sotar is looking for him, and to be more polite with me. I don't want your money, but I always gladly help fellow Elves, if they treat me with respect."
I trully hope that by now, Gurukk has left the forest.

Poulon gave you a skeptical look. "Sotar is our chief. He's not ya ordinary chief, though. Most elven chiefs are kind and understanding, but Sotar is not. He knows he is not. The savar murdered Sotar's young son, and Sotar won't allow rest until that savar is dealt with, meaning Sotar wants his head," he revealed.
One of the other elves glanced around somewhat uneasily before adding. "We got to be mean, because if Sotar finds we're showing respect to a kitch, he'd send elves to deal with us," he added.
"Thank you, Havdor," Poulon nodded to his comrade, and then turned back to you. "We got to find this murderous orc. Either that, or we break away from our tribe, and we got girls waiting for us back home. Pretek's girl is giving birth to a child soon," he continued, gesturing to the other elf. "We got to find the orc."

I immediately calm down, and sigh.
"- I know that not all elven chiefs are nice and understanding. And if the Savar really did murder Sotar's young son, I can understand why he wants his head... Though I'm not sure that the Savar I've seen could have done something like that, since he helped me to escape from a trap when he could have easily killed me instead. But anyway, this Savar is probably going to have a more terrible death than if he had died from your hands."
I make a brief pause to take a breath. I really hope that Gurukk did follow my instructions. He would be safe, and the Elves could go back to their home and tell Sotar that the Orc should be dying, which would appease their chief.
"- He told me that he was chased by people, though he didn't tell me by whom and why. I didn't think it could be by Elves, since he had helped me. I even suggested that I could go with him to find you, the Elvish tribe living in this Forest, to ask for your help... But he told me that the Elven chief hated Orcs. I understand everything, now. He told me that he had to try to leave the Forest and that he wanted to take shelter in a near Human town. I tried to tell him not to go there... The people there... They are ill... The town is touched by the Captain's Wiles! But it was when we heard you, and he disappeared. If he went to this town, he is going to die from the disease", I explain.

None of the elven patrollers interrupted you as you spoke, though they all gradually adopted very puzzled expressions. After you had finished, Poulon spoke up. "Whether he truly did it or not does not matter to us. We simply fill out Sotar's orders. But... Ya mentioned a human village. Kitch, there is no human village within three days' journey of our forest. And there's been no reports of The Captain's Wiles anywhere near here."

"- Yes, I understand that you're following Sotar's order... And I already said that I understand he wants the Orc... or the Savar's head if he had killed his son or if he thinks he had killed him... But wait, what? I have seen a human town before coming in this forest. I assumed he was speaking of the same town. I made my way from this town without stopping. I know I was going fast, because I wanted to go very far away from there... But It doesn't seem to me that it took me three days or more to arrive in this forest!".
I am genuinly surprised, and my face shows it.
- "And if you have heard no reports of the Captain's Wiles, then I bring you bad news, because weither the town I've seen was more or less than three days from there, it was touched by the disease." I add in a sad voice. "At least I saw a sickly looking human boy, who told me that his mother was ill and had a purple skin, and that the town was contaminated by the Captain's Wiles. I didn't want to approach him, and I did not went to verify if his mother really had the disease, but he was very convincing and I would not advise anyone to go near this town!"

Poulon shook his head slowly all throughout your words. "The human town that's closest, Taladis, doesn't let the young out. And it's fortified with the best priests in Enegryle. I don't think ya town was real. I think ya lying," he growled, eyes narrowed.

I'm now really puzzled, almost shocked. Was I hallucinating when I saw the town and the boy, or are the Elves lying to me?
"- I swear to the gods that I have seen a town, and I have seen this boy too! He had dark brown hair, and he was young... The name of the town was Ihndiste, if I remember correctly. Does this town really not exist, or are you testing me?"
