Grim Rose growled and slashed towards one of them. Grim Rose was a bit nervous but she made sure not to show it.

the sprites where nipping at heroines feet "i have an idea!" she looks at all her friends then looks at her cousin then she looks at the water fall "the ones of us with stronger wings could fly the ones of us that don't have wings or don't have strong wings up there!"

Mermydon pressed his advance hard, hoping she would make the mistake of lunging head down at him with her horn. He could use his pearl helm plate to deflect her jabs but a good deflection into his kelp armor may tangle her up long enough for him to use his greater strength to swim her straight into the bank. He couldn't will that to happen, but he hoped. She was sleeker than him though so she could turn and bank much faster below the surface so he had to get close enough to use his tail and lengthy wingspan to box her in while staying clear of her stabbing horn into any of his vitals. He didn't want to hurt Aleria, but if that was what it would take to help her to see her future then so be it! He would charge and stop short to cover her path and let the water he displaced force her closer to the surface, where the chop would help disrupt her ability and help corral her properly. He wouldn't have long as he could already hear the water sprites closing beneath the shadow of the cliff.
-----------------------------------------

The lake chop was starting to get caps from the chop caused by the little sprites. Already they were leaping and breeching the surface unafraid of their quarry and were working themselves up into a frenzy. Theie first target seemed to be Kanakwella since she was already cut off from the lake. Her best hope was to get to shore, but it would have been a forelorn hope if she was alone. Two of the nasty creature attempted to leap upon Kanakwella's back and attack where she couldn't defend herself! Three of the little cretins tried ganging up on Grim Rose. Whenever she attempted to flay one open the other two would try to rush in and try delivering a vicious bite! Two others just entering the shallows would induce small tidal waves to allow them further into shore and try to wash over Grim and Heroine to try and make them lose their footing.

Grim rose struggled and tried to get them off when the rest of the ryori appeared and attacked the strange creatures. Grim Rose roared and tried to throw them off but couldn't manage to throw any of them off.

Little Red: aka Red~Adult: 3 years (20 years in species)~ ?

Her eyes opened slowly to find it was almost nearly dark now. The black fur of her back was matted to her body after not being dried right. She had to get away from the ground, fish can't climb right? Pulling her good foot under her she approached a nearby tree. After almost an hour of trying she finally made it to the saftey of the lowest branch.

Strangely enough Little Red hadn't been paid any notice by the little menaces. They neither pointed at her or raise any alarm to bring her to the attention of the other sprites. But she could hear their hisses and croaky attempts at putting together words like 'prey, flesh,' and 'food' when addressing the remainder of the party in the flood zone. Even from her vantage point on the lowest branches she could see everything going on. Only about 18 to 20 of those wicked icky creatures dared to come ashore. The two menacing Kanakwella weren't doing much more but scratching her and causing her to scream and panic. While many more sprites in the water were causing larger and larger waves to crash higher up onto shore and over top of the kelparie princess so that Heroine wouldn't be able to keep her wings dry if she attempted to save her poor cousin.
Those battling the ryori closest to Kanakwella seemed to be fighting with greater strength and power than those further away from the kelparie mare. They even seemed to brim with wicked happiness and evil laughter as the pressed against Grim Rose's family. It didn't take them long to figure out the importance of the little orbs about the ryori's necks and so attempted to bite or swat at them whenever an opportunity presented itself.

The longer they fought the more they excreted a fishy odor that could make a hungry or starving creature lose control and try to eat one of the deadly little creatures! Even the little bulbori started smelling the sickly sweet stench carried upon the wind. But she noticed something that the ryori and zolnixi probably didn't notice because it was happening behind them, where there wasn't any action. No matter how large the magical waves got, they never went further up the beach than the high tide berm.

Mwindo ~~ male ~~ In the dessert ~~ packless ~~ adult
"I would guess it was a adolecent one, or a rather massive pupp depending on her impatient behaviour" he noted stretching his front legs before puhing the dead bird a bit with his muzzle. As the feathers moved a bit by this they gave upo a faint sound just barley hearable despite the sound beeing reforced by the cave. With this he digged in to the bird. It took some time but once done he started to clean his own muzzle.
(so so sorry for this crappy post)

The orbs floating were where most of the Ryori's power came from. The ryori fought viciously against the creatures but they had difficulty trying to protect their orbs and fight at the same time.

Little Red: aka Red~Adult: 3 years (20 years in species)~ ?

It was going to be a long night.... The rabbit like creature winced when she looked down at her injured paw. A long gash covered the bottom of the paw, so deep that one could see the bone through it. With out the proper treatment she would die from infecting, or worse lose the foot altogether. A bulbori with three feet was better off dead. Red gagged upon seeing the wound thus she turned her head to look away, ears back and eyes clenched shut. For tonight it should be fine but in the morning it would need some attention. The tree she was in was an oak, not much help for an open wound. She needed a few cob webs, maybe some sand and some rosemary. Yes that would do nicely...but for now she just needed some rest. Red yawned some as her eyes drooped to a close and she fell asleep.

"Do you think it's still alive? We cant just leave it here if it's not, those things may get to it...."
