She felt as if her own was beating very fast, and with as many hunters around her as there were, they were bound to tell. "I wonder if the others have gotten far yet? It's only been an hour, but I would think they would have found the path and started leading us by now."

Jay did try to shush Hunter as he continued to chatter, but thankfully Scarlet wasn't gone for long. "You didn't find anything? I was sure if we found a river or something, we could follow it to the outside..." He sighed again, nodding as they suggested going back. "Maybe that would be for the best. Mrs. Mouse seems to know what she's doing way better than any of us. I just know we shouldn't split up. I mean, who would Hunter have to talk to then?" he added with a laugh.
