" I think we should tell her when she asks.. It would be a lot easier. "
" I guess so, I am happy she likes being with me. "

Alaska nodded. "Okay." she started stressing about how much work three kids would be. That is, if Maria wanted Alaska back. She had had a power struggle with a five year old and lost. How nice.
"Yeah, there aren't too many kids your age around here, are there? Buy hey, I'd play with you any time you wanted me to, alright?" Bailey started to chase her shadow. When she lost sight of her shadow, she went over to Maria and sat on her lap, yawning

" I never thought I would have a family. " Victor said with a happy sigh, " I never thought that the mother of my children would be so beautiful, wonderful, and so perfect. "
Maria started to pet Bailey and nodded, " I would really like that Lani. " She smiled.

"Great, now we just have to find a zombie," said Io.
"Well, there happens to be one over there! How convenient!" muttered Atari.
Io rolled her eyes and tiptoed over, then brought the table leg down hard on the zombie's head. "Well, that worked."
(a bit anticlimatic)

" Alright well, we should scan the heads because since they still have human DNA, but there brains are gone right? We should track them by brain activity. " Nova suggested.

"You say that I am, but I just don't see it. All I see is a mess."
Lani smiled. "Good!"

Atari grinned. "Ya got it."
He pulled up a program on the laptop computer and ran it, then faced the camera towards the zombie and waited. Some random graphs that Io didn't understand appeared on the screen after a moment.
"Yes. Convolutional neural network machine learning always works."
Io had no idea what he was talking about, but she nodded as if she understood. Atari tapped something on the computer and muttered something to himself, then grinned and displayed a map with an overlaid grid showing multiple green dots moving around. "There we go."

" Wow! We can actually track them! We could be safe anywhere... We just need to keep that laptop charged now right? "

"Yeah, I guess. But those are usually the abstract ones." Alaska had never felt good about herself.
"No, I don't think so. I don't think anyone could stay mad at you for long. I mean, you're just a kid. You probably don't understand a lot of things yet, but I'm sure that Alaska will understand." Lani hoped what she was saying was true. She didn't really want to lie to her new best friend
