Atari heard a loud slam and jumped. "Well, that was ominous."
Io approached the door, knocking on it. "Hello?" she asked nervously. "Is anyone there?"
Atari stood behind her, acting as a lookout. "Um, don't wanna alarm you or anything but there are some zombies at the other end of the street coming over..."

Nova hadn't heard the voice of another person in weeks, but she still was quiet. " W-whose there? " She asked nervously, her shaking hands clutching onto a table leg incase she needed to attack someone. Her eyes were darting around the room, wondering if anyone was there or if they were just outside and talking. She had to be cautious.

"My name's Io. Can we please come in? There are zombies coming."
"Are you going to stand there talking forever? The zombies move, you know," Atari yelled frantically. "Are we going to leave or come in?"
Io glanced behind her and saw the zombies coming down the street. "Please let us in," she said in a more panicked voice.

Nova noted that they didn't sound dangerous and opened the door, moving aside so they could get in. " Come in q-quick, before they g-get over here. " Clearly, she wasn't dealing with this new world all too well, evident by her timid scared nature.

Io and Atari hurried inside. "Do you have any weapons or anything?" asked Atari. "We may need to fight."
Io sat down on the floor. "We've got to find others. We'll survive better if we have numbers. But we need to stop this."

" I only have a BB gun and this table leg, but I am not the best of fighters.. " Nova spoke quietly, her voice shaky still and bits of fear could be heard in it. She glanced out a window, but ducked down soon after, " There is a herd outside, they will move soon.. They usually do at least. "

Alaska laughed. "Since part of your arm is already missing does that mean I get to keep half the stuff? Actually, nevermind I don't want to be turning into a redneck like somebody else I know. Besides, country just doesn't suit me."

" Redneck ain't the right term, we were ranchers, hard workin' cowboys. Not rednecks. " Victor said with a small smile, He moved to leave, knowing he had more work to do elsewhere.

"It's alright," murmured Io, she was still in shock but was used to tragedy and depending on herself. "We can survive, especially now that there are more of us. We'll be able to take turns keeping watch or something." She started humming Beethoven's Five Secrets, lamenting the loss of her violin when the zombies had smashed it.
Atari was quiet, staring at the horizon as if deep in thought.
