Lark decides not to point out the paradox in Lilith's statement and instead walks off between the artifacts, looking for anything like the one they're looking for but not expecting to find it.

Sai is thinking along the same lines of Lilith, but if he perished in the situation, he wouldn't care if everybody decided to haunt him for the rest of eternity because it would be nice to have someone to hang out with while a ghost or whatever happened when he died. That doesn't mean he isn't itching to grab one of the artifacts. How bad could it be? There's no one to watch him do it other than his fellow teammates. And what are his teammates going to do when he picks it up? Yell at him to drop it, giving their position away in the process?
Sai sucks in a breath and keeps near the door, stuffing his hands in his pockets to keep them to himself and not go touching everything. He keeps an eye out for any security cameras in the room his friends were exploring in and kept an ear out - if possible above the machine's hum - for anyone coming up the stairs.
They had knocked out the guard downstairs and the guard had seemed to be stalling, so if someone came around about now, saw the guard abandoned post and the door open, Sai felt the place would be hopping soon enough. Of course, he never said anything out loud since it appeared to him that there were others in the group smarter than him and that if he said anything along those lines, the group would give him a sympathetic smile and kindly approach him to tell him that he's barking up the wrong tree.
