Once he entered the copse of trees everything began happening so fast that Malak was caught off guard, a very rare thing for him. He was blinded by the brightness of the light momentarily, long enough for the figure who spoke to grab him. There was no question that he could have easily released himself from their grasp, and his entire body tensed in anticipation to do so, but his instincts stopped him. The person's voice sounded extremely urgent, and so he did as he was told, though he did close his fist around his weapon.

You recognize that it is a woman's voice. You feel a gentle heat against your throat. "You need to leave," she hissed in your ear. The light toned down a bit, but was now radiating from her hand on your neck. "Leave, or I will burn your throat," she growled at you.
