Another WIP update. I have a midterm coming up so I haven't been drawing as much recently, but here's how it looks right now. The flat color is down and I've started to work on the shading and details. :)


Quick question about a random detail: do you know / care what the words on the visor say? Right now it's just some random hieroglyphics which vaguely resembles Japanese XD

Honestly, the Splatoon language is gibberish, and the only way we're often able to tell what things say is because they have descriptions in the game, or song lyrics (in case of the music accompaniments, which are also in this gibberish language). Therefore, it's okay for them to not actually spell anything out ^^
