I Challenged Fire Eyes in the Arena and I had him down to 29% when he killed my Team off.

I think you need more level higher pets to challenge that boss.

Minlifalcon, the pets can't be a higher level than 25, since that's the cutoff point for Fire Eyes' arena battle. If they were any higher of a level they wouldn't be allowed to enter the battle with him.
Onimushastar, I've only fought Fire Eyes once, years ago, so I can't help with strategy, but three tank elements seems a strange setup for it? I don't know enough about it though.
But you'll want to make sure you have all prof points assigned, and make sure your pets are fully stocked on equipment (preferably lv25 legendary equips, since they're easy enough to get, maybe some lv25 mythicals if you have them). Uncommon equips are right out, though

Triple shadow is actually a great setup for arena. It's what I use, and I can defeat all of the bosses.
As others have said, getting full sets of rarer equips will help a lot.
This guide has some good tips for most of the arena fights. It is very old, but most of the information is still true and can be useful to know.

Yeah? My arena team is max. You could also fight it with supers if you wanted to. The arena limits levels, not stats
