I don't know if it would devalue items too much, but I have a suggestion for more specific retired avatar item boxes. Every festival, I have items I hope to get from these boxes, many of which are from a time before I was on the site. However, the current retired avi item boxes overwhelmingly give common held items. I have had several good items as well, so I know it's just down to RNG, but here's my suggestion to improve things:
New retired avatar item boxes with more specific contents. The most obvious suggestion is avi boxes that contain items from specific wardrobe categories: A retired Outfit item box, a retired Wing item box, etc.
I realize these would be much more expensive than the regular retired item boxes, but I would be willing to pay that.
With fest currency being restricted to fest items, this would be a good sink for that currency.
I just know I would like a better chance at some of those items that are very rare and difficult to get. Users can go years buying retired items and not get certain items, like the Angelic items.

I would love this as well. There are some things I am just not really interested in, and others I would absolutely love to obtain, but with everything being tossed into one giant pot and shaken, it can be very difficult to get the items I actually want.

Definitely support. This would be so helpful and would provide another option to use tokens on from festivals. Almost all my tokens get used on avi boxes because I've only been here a year and am still missing so many items. Would be nice to be able to pick a certain category so I can get items I still need.

Support this. I wouldn't mind having to pay 500 for heads, 750 for wings and 100 for outfits or more for a system like that

I love this idea! Being as I am hesitant to just buy the retired avi boxes due to the reason that it's likely going to contain something I don't want/need, this would greatly increase my interest in buying them!
