I mean it's not that hard I don't think. It's a bit strange at first. And your fingers will hurt for the first 4-6 months you play the harp. I find just keeping my harp in good condition harder than actually playing it xD. It's temperature sensitive and needs to be tuned way to often, about every time you play. I think the hardest part about playing is the fact that you have to pluck the stings in a very specific manner to get the sound you want. Oh and if you have a cat.. Do not let it get near the strings. Slinkers, one of my cats, got into my harp one day and was playing the strings with his teeth xD. He also broke a string.. Those aren't very cheap..
Overall I'd say that the harp is as difficult as learning any new instrument, with the technic and manner you play in.

Oh geez.. I think I nerded out a little bit xD

Ahah, I could nerd out about the violin... when it gets humid you have to tune. Every. Day. And if you play too long without stopping, your arms hurt... and the posture and bow grip and things are kinda awkward but you get used to it. Mostly. At one rehearsal, my bow literally flew out of my hand, I had to grab it before anyone noticed... My stand partner was in tears

That's terrifying!!

With my harp it needs to be tuned every day, along with when humidity changes and when it's moved to a different location. It's annoying honestly. With the harp, you sit in a way that is also uncomfortable (when are you actually comfortable when playing an instrument though?) For me, if I sit there playing my arms will start to hurt but that's just because I'm holding them in a manner that isn't something I do often. I can't even imagine how much your arms would hurt after playing the violin..

I think the violin is a really cool instrument! That's really amazing that you play!

Yeah haha, the conductor didn't notice even though everyone was dying of laughter.
Thanks! The harp sounds really cool as well, especially since you don't find as many people who play it as much as violins. And it's really pretty sounding ^^

That's something at least. I've had something similar happen to me. When I was in band, I dropped a mallet and I swear everyone heard me, turned around and stared.. Band teacher was not pleased either..
That's true, I only know one other person who plays the harp, my teacher. I don't think I know anyone who plays the violin but, I think being able to play the violin is more impressive than playing the harp. I also think that the violin sounds really nice^^

Are you in orchestra or band is what the question is asking.
