Furnace Penitentiary, in the distant future, is the world's most secure prison for young offenders. It is buried a mile beneath the Earth's surface. One way in and no way out. Once you're here, you're here until you die, and for most of the inmates that don't take long - not with the sadistic guards and the bloodthirsty gangs.

Sentenced to life without parole, new fish know that they have two choices: find a way out, or resign himself to a death behind bars, in the darkness at the bottom of the world.
Only in Furnace, death is the least of most people's worries. Soon you discover that a prison is a place of pure evil: where creatures in gas masks stalk the corridors at night, where giants in black suits drag screaming inmates into the shadows, where deformed beasts can be heard howling from the blood-drenched tunnels below. And behind everything is the mysterious, all-powerful warden, a man as cruel and as dangerous as the devil himself, whose unthinkable acts have consequences that stretch far beyond the walls of the prison.

Together with a bunch of inmates - some innocent kids who have been framed, others cold-blooded killers - You plan the prison break to end all prison breaks. But as he starts to uncover the truth about Furnaces deeper, darker purpose, your actions grow ever more dangerous, and you must risk everything to expose this nightmare that's hidden from the eyes of the world...

I'm betting you've all seen some prison films, or watched cop shows where the bad guys get sent to jail. You know what they look like: miles of fences topped with razor wire so sharp it hurts just to look at it; sprawling grounds watched over at all times by million-watt spotlights and towers with guns; lifeless buildings that rise up from the ground like great grey tombstones; tiny windows from which ghostly faces stare at an outside world they can no longer know.
Not Furnace.
The prison bus took the newly convicted kids straight there. Most kids were as pale as church candles and cowering back in their seats as if somehow they could avoid arriving at their inevitable destination. All the while, police guards shook their shotguns at the prisoners and jeered, asking them if they'd ever seen Furnace before if they knew what it looked like, if they had any idea of the horrors that lay ahead.
Victoria knew. She had seen Furnace on TV just like everybody else. After that summer when so many kids had turned to murder, they made sure that everyone in the country got a good look at the prison. They thought it would make kids too scared to break the law, too scared to carry knives and to cut people up for just looking at them the wrong way, too scared to take a human life. Looks like they hadn't been too successful.
There had been protesters, of course, the human rights supporters who claimed that locking a child away for life was wrong. But you can only argue with the truth for so long, and that summer when the gangs ran wild and the streets ran red everything changed. Even in the eyes of the liberals they weren't kids anymore, they were killers.
All of them.

( Really quickly I wanted to add/ask- In the case of Sebastian whom I would think is still in trial his murders might end up being classified as manslaughter or self defense.. SO I was thinking we could have a plot where everyone kind of knows there is a kid in here that has a slim chance of getting out/getting parole... which makes him a target of interest. Because if you vouch for an inmate with good behavior and things like that they *might* get a chance at parole in a future trial, which they can become eligible for with good behavior. - sorry to get all technical.. but as I want to be a cop I know a little bit about the cases with how they tick- )

Here Sebastian was, in the back of a police bus being hauled off to jail. His soft baby blue eyes scanned around the area, though noteworthy about his left eye is that it had speckles of brown in it, which was interesting. But enough about how he looked, this was about where he was going.
He was frightened, but also a little happy to finally be away from his parents. The judge lady said that they would be looking into the case more so maybe he wouldn't have to serve life! He was happy about that.. but not about the boy in tattoos staring him down. That, made him afraid. He really didn't want to die or anything, but sometimes he thought he did deserve death after killing his parents.. in the bible it said love thy mother and thy father, but he didn't love them. Not anymore and not ever again.. he was scared of them, more scared of them then this place.

(UGH FINE I"LL MAKE COLE A NEWBIE *because im getting bored agin)

Cole sat staring-no, not staring-notlooking forward. Convicting him...it didn't really change things. He knew he was probably gonna end up here, when they'd gotten the Marker siblings he knew he was next, he was the troublemaker and Nic and Ema weren't. The only good thing here was that maybe he'd get to see them again....it'd sucked not having the Markers around to hang with. At least...he hoped they were still around...Furnace , he knew, was a place to kill or be killed and Ema hadn't been herself during the short time between their family's death and her imprisonment. Nic had seemed fine but he knew he wasn't as strong as he pretended to be.

Nicole sat in her sell, on her hard matrice, uncomfortably. The blonde looked like she was reading, but she was sharpening the knife she slipped off of a poor unsuspecting guard. Nicole mumbled a song her father had taught her, to the beat she slid her blade through the object that sharpened it. She studied it one last time before nodding in approval and folded it up and put it down. Nicole had a kid she was going to tick off of her list tonight right before curfew. No one was going to stop her just bloodshed.

Ver waited impatiently for the new inmates. She was always a mix of sad and happy when they came in. She always tried to think of it as new friends. She bit her lip and held back a giggle. Last time new people had come in, her excitement had gotten the better of her and she had laughed loudly and wildly. Some of the kids were scared by it but others thought she was making fun of them. Needless to say, she came out with several bruises. Though, she did manage to fight them off before getting badly hurt. This time, she knew better. She started to rock back and forth as she waited close to their entry point.

(last big ping the I gotta go eat and be productive and go to classes :P)

Nicote sat next to the bars in his cell. Waiting. He knew one of these day that Colebrourne Cresthearse was gonna end up in here. And he wanted to see if his thoughts were right.

Ema huddled in the corner of her cell, not even coming close to raising her head above her knees.
