I had this really random idea just now. What if I, along with other interested individuals, offered tutoring / hw help on Sylestia? I have nothing to do right now and during the school year, I often browse Sylestia randomly even when I have hw to do. So why not make my Sylestia time more productive? I can help others as well as review material I may not have reviewed in a while. (I might also tutor irl next year so this would be good practice).

I know it's still early and school hasn't started yet, but this would be good time to check for interest or maybe help the people who have summer hw or summer classes.

Please let me know if you are interested or if you have any suggestions that would improve this service. If there's enough interest, I'll start a thread dedicated to this and people can post their hw problems. If you're interested in tutoring, please let me know what you can tutor and how often you're generally on (also let me know if that depends on the day of the week or whether school's in session or not)

Example using me:
Username: Sandstorm514
Online: at least once a day, generally for a couple hours during summer, < an hour when in school
Subjects:
Math through AP Calculus BC*
Chemistry through AP*
Basic biology
AP computer science A / Java*
English (kinda varies a bit but I did take AP Lang)
Mandarin
*best subjects

People interested in tutoring:
Canawlia (math), Swirlspot, Mossflight2,

People interested in getting help:
Twinkleunicorn, Canawlia, Mossflight2

Other Suggestions / Notes to Self:

I honestly have no idea whether this belongs here in the guilds / clubs / services category or not...Someone please let me know?

I'd be interested in learning Mandarin, and I can teach some math. Not great at teaching, though, my brother's the tutor xD

Great! I'm not sure if I can teach you mandarin from scratch but if you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help :)

I will most likely be able to help in science (I am in 8th grade currently) and math I could help with as well (I am beginning algebra). The only other thing would be me needing help in history

This sounds like a great idea! And I think that this thread category is good. I'd be happy to help tutor, although I'm only online sporadically. I can be on daily if I had someone who needed help though.

I'm a senior in high school and have lots of experience teaching my younger siblings.

Subjects:
Biology
Chemistry
Anatomy/Physiology
Basic genetics, animal behavior, nutrition, etcetera.
Earth Science
Basically any other science related thing... Except physics with a lot of math.
Algebra 1
English/Literature/Grammar
Geography & Biogeography
Music (reading it, not playing)

That's about it. Everything else wouldn't work well online or I'm not the best person to teach it.
I am taking French as well. Not far enough in that I could tutor, but maybe we could start a language club for practice?
