I think this has been suggested before but that was a loooonnnng time ago and i just remembered it and wanted to put it back up again!

Anyways, i think it'll be cool to have a kinda Loyalty stat, well not stat but something that raises the sylesti's stats, as they trust you more and are willing to like, actually help you battle? For example, wild sylestis. You just captured them! Of course they won't trust you! But if you win more battles with them, perhaps they would stop missing their shots... The sylestis that you hatched would already have a part of the loyalty bar filled cuz animals usually think that the first thing they see is their mom or something, so yeah! And bought pets probably would have the loyalty bar decreased a little. Just a little. Beating battles would raise their loyalty and stats, while losing them and maybe not feeding them? would lower it. Also because high stats are kinda hard to get!

well as long as it onl ydid a little i'd be fine with it

Honestly the max stats/superstats would have t obe upped (full loyalty or something) or their value would decrease

tho this isn't a bad idea

7/10 only cuz you have to even it out with the superstats that people worked hard on

Support!

It'd kind of be like how in Pokemon, the more you battle, heal and spend time with your Pokemon, the more likely they are to land critical hits, heal their status conditions, and be able to endure super effective moves. I absolutely love this idea!

Maybe it'd include some special dialogues in the story mode if your team has high or full loyalty idk. Possibility.

This will add a little bit of very much needed personality to pets
I think that releasing or selling pets related to one may make them lose loyalty though

Support! I actually remember Krin talking about something, like a tame bar? I cant exactly remember, but something similar to this. It would add a depth to pets!

I dont think stats should be lowered at all (for example, max stats would stay max stats) but battling with the max stat pets could increase loyalty as you said.
Loyalty could add boosts to a pet. Like, 10,000 battles won gives your pets attack stat a 2x boost/ double damage

Another thought is, different actions could affect different boosts for a pet. Like, how long youve kept it VS how many missions youve sent it on. Letting your pet be starving or feinted for over 24 hours could reduce its boosts. It might be a lot of data to collect for every pet, but it would be cool if possible.

That would certainly be more interesting.
