It's funny how this contest was posted as neighbors are blowing up fireworks

I've been somewhat inspired by tomorrow being the Memorial Day Parade in marching in so here we go!

I don't want to sound stupid, but I had to google what Memorial Day is and wanted to make sure, before I misunderstood anything ^^*

So it's a holiday to think about all the people that died in wars for their country?

So anything military and Flag related would fit the challenge?

We have a similar holiday, but we don't celebrate it as you do. It's just a calm holiday. So no parades, no festivals or anything like that.
I honestly had to google our holiday as well, because I know nobody who celebrate it. For most people I know it's just a calm Sunday ^^*

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance. True, it is "A" typcially centered around the military that fought in wars depending on what country you maybe from. But your idea of your Memorial Day design doesn't have to be. It can be in remembrance of anyone whom is in a form of service like the police, fire fighters, medical personal, search and rescue...etc. It can even be about the one you love that is no longer with us today. Some view it as a time to set off more fireworks, family and friend pick nicks with yummy cook outs. It is whatever you believe it is, that is what your design should be based off of. So if you want to do military and or flag based design, then by all means do that. I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
