That's what I would do.
You're hidden in the library, on the top floor, watching as rebels gather. You see a flash of gold in the forest, as if there are soldiers in the woods. You hear the beginning of the speech below you where the rebels gather. You could run into the forest and hope to cause a commotion loud enough for the rebels to hear and flee, run up on the stage and warn the rebels, which could cause the soldiers to see your face, flee, leaving the rebels behind, or stay where you are in hopes to stay hidden.

Cause a commotion too scare if the rebels then hide to see the shoulders reaction
